"Totally Spying" is the sixth episode of the third season of the animated series Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. It was released on Netflix on February 14, 2019.[1]

Official Description[]

"Trey gets hurt on the Roberts' property, so the family is extra nice to him. But Barbie suspects that the demanding neighbor is up to something."[2]

Story[]

The puppies watch while Skipper uses a drone to record Stacie skateboarding. Stacie falls off her skateboard and it flies at Blissa. Blissa gets scared and jumps in the air, so she lands on the skateboard. The skateboard still has momentum, so Blissa falls off, but she is okay. Skipper, Stacie and the puppies check on her. Poppy and Whittaker hear the commotion and Stacie tells them that Blissa accidentally skateboarded to their front yard. The Reardons get annoyed when the puppies surround them. Stacie leads the puppies away to get treats, and Skipper carries Blissa home.

Whittaker is irritated by the Roberts always been cheerful and fun-loving. Poppy wishes they would move far away, but Whittaker says they won't because they built their Dreamhouse. Trey sees that they have the Roberts' mail by accident, including a notice from Malibu City Hall. In the Dreamhouse kitchen, Barbie does some baking. Chelsea and Barbie try the food, but it tastes bad. Barbie thinks she added salt instead of sugar. Skipper and Stacie come running in for some food, but Barbie doesn't want them to have it. Chelsea says Barbie is doing them a favor. The girls hear Trey yelling in pain. They see Trey on the floor outside the Dreamhouse, holding his foot. He claims he was "attacked" by Stacie's skateboard.

Stacie apologizes to Trey after she and Barbie help him up. Stacie is distraught when Trey says his leg is broken. Barbie checks his leg and says it isn't broken or swollen. Skipper asks if his parents can come get him, but Poppy and Whittaker are out of town. Trey can't walk properly, so Barbie says the Roberts will keep him company at the Dreamhouse until he feels better. Skipper doesn't want to. Barbie and Chelsea find it awkward talking to Trey. He asks Barbie to make him a steak, a baked potato and a mashed potato. Skipper and Chelsea go to help her so they don't have to be with Trey. Trey is glad to be left alone. He tries to do something on his phone, but Stacie brings him an ice pack. Trey rejects her, so Stacie tries helping to cook for him instead.

In the kitchen, Chelsea feels like they are stuck with Trey. Barbie says Trey isn't that bad. Skipper remembers a time when he deflated a volleyball that she and Stacie were playing with. Skipper feels suspicious of Trey. Barbie knows that Trey is dishonest sometimes, but she believes he has a good heart. In the living room, Trey facetimes his mother on the phone. The notice from Malibu City Hall said that the Roberts had to file their Dreamhouse blueprints by tomorrow, so Poppy wants Trey to destroy them today. In the background, Whittaker gets knocked over by a tennis ball. Poppy rolls her eyes and is unconcerned.

Chelsea fans Trey while he eats. She fans him for so long that her arms hurt, so Stacie takes over. Trey wants Baked Alaska for dessert. He tells Barbie to bake something for all 50 United States. He makes other demands like telling Chelsea to get him a fluffier cushion, and he tells Skipper to get him something to read. He doesn't want to read on his phone so he can save the battery in case he needs immediate medical attention. Stacie offers to get him something to read, so Skipper takes over fanning him. The girls all leave. Trey facetimes his mother again. In the background, Whittaker falls over while trying to open a car door. Poppy is unconcerned for him again and tells Trey to hurry and destroy the Dreamhouse blueprints.

Trey drops his phone. Rookie picks up the phone in his mouth. The phone calls ends when Trey tries to get his phone from Rookie. Trey gets his phone and Chelsea brings him a different cushion, but he says it's the wrong color. Barbie bakes Trey cookies in the shape of the 50 United States. Skipper can't believe is making him that dessert, but Barbie says she likes to finish what she's started. Stacie finds several books for Trey. She hopes he will like them. Chelsea and Skipper are tired of Trey. He overhears Skipper saying she wants him to go home. She says Stacie is helping Trey out of guilt. Barbie says they treat their guests with kindness and generosity, and that Trey is a lot of fun once you get to know him. Trey is touched.

When the cookies are done, Chelsea and Skipper give each other a knowing look. They silently agree to give Trey the salty cookies that Barbie made on top of the ones he wanted. While Trey is searching for the blueprints, Poppy calls Trey again to ask if he's found them. He tells her to stop calling him or he'll get caught. Rookie is annoyed when he sees Trey jump onto the couch before the girls come into the room. After Trey tries the salty cookies, he stands up indignantly. The girls are confused to see him standing up just fine. He pretends he still feels unwell and he makes up a list of symptoms. He demands fresh watermelon juice. Barbie goes to get the juice. Trey gets the other girls to go away by asking them to wash his feet; they leave with Barbie instead.

Barbie, Skipper and Chelsea are suspicious of Trey, but Stacie still wants to be nice to him. She feels responsible for his suffering. Barbie has an idea to use the drone footage to prove it wasn't Stacie's fault. Trey tries to search for the blueprints. He stops when Margaret and George come home. Margaret says the girls told them that Trey was hurt, so they rushed home. Margaret offers Trey assistance, so he asks for a full-course turkey dinner with all the fixings as a "small snack". George offers to keep Trey company. Trey pretends he is interested in architecture, so George goes to get the blueprints.

The girls check the drone footage and see Blissa skateboarding. Later footage shows Trey placing the skateboard next to him, getting on the floor and then pretending to yell in pain. The girls are shocked. Stacie is outraged and wants to get revenge on Trey. Barbie has an idea to be overbearingly nice to Trey so that he'll want them to stop, and he'll confess the truth. George shows the blueprints to Trey. He tells Trey that if they miss the deadline to file the blueprints, they could be forced to move. George brings some wood blocks to Trey so they can carve ducks. After carving a few ducks, Trey asks to take a break, so George leaves Trey alone. Trey looks at the blueprints and says to himself, "Sorry, Roberts."

Trey tells the girls that he feels better. He tries to leave, but they say they looked up his symptoms online and found a "cure". They put him in an uncomfortable sitting position, put a face mask on him, and put an ice pack on his head. They try to feed him the salty cookies, so he confesses that he was never hurt. Trey apologizes and says he just wanted to spend quality time with a nice, kind, caring family. He also liked the ducks. Barbie says Trey is always welcome at the Dreamhouse. Trey smiles. He hears Margaret asking the girls to help her stuff the turkey, and George asking for his straight chisel.

Trey sighs sadly as he goes to leave. Rookie barks at him. Trey gives Rookie the blueprints and tells him to secretly put them back. Trey overhears George wondering how Rookie got the blueprints. Trey gets startled and tries to run away, but he slips and falls because of Stacie's skateboard. He gets hospitalized and spends a week wearing neck, arm and leg casts. The Roberts never found out that Trey was going to steal their blueprints. Barbie tells her vlog viewers that she still doesn't know what Trey was up to, but that's all the more reason for the Roberts to keep on being the best neighbors they can be.
