In "Gone to the Dogs", Renee needs advice on what to get Teresa for her birthday. Malibu is in New York, so Renee phones Malibu for advice. Malibu suggests that Renee should get Teresa passes to the "Your Place in the Space Race" conference.
In "Cupid Shuffle", Malibu video calls Teresa, Nikki, Renee and Daisy. They usually go to the Golden Beach High Spring Dance as a group and dance all night, so Malibu is surprised that Teresa and the others want boycott it this year because everyone is going in couples. Teresa says the "love is in the air stuff" is overrated, but feels differently later on when Malibu mentions that she got a letter from Ken. She mentions that Brooklyn considers it to be a love letter. Teresa says Malibu should definitely respond since Malibu and Ken have been friends for a long time and are always honest with each other. Renee says they've been waiting for this forever. After the conversation, Teresa feels like love between friends isn't celebrated the same way romantic love is. Teresa and her friends decide to go to the dance as a group to celebrate since Malibu reminded them that love comes in different forms.
