The sulfur lily is a flowering plant featured in Barbie: The Pearl Princess. It is a red flower with wavy stripes and an indigo stem. A rare plant that can only be found in coral reefs, the sulfur lily is the only known antidote to stonefish venom.
Story[]
Fergis wears a sulfur lily to the royal ball. However, Caligo forcibly removes it after finding out that its smell was keeping Fergis from finding a dance partner.
When Scylla is poisoned, Lumina asks Spike if he knows of an antidote to his venom. Spike replies that the only thing he knows about is the sulfur lily, but due to their rarity, he despairs that one cannot be found in time to save Scylla. Cora asks Fergis if he knows the plant, but Caligo's glare prompts Fergis to lie that he doesn't. Cora, however, gives Fergis an encouraging smile. Fergis stands up to his father and collects the fallen lily from the ground.
As Lumina is about to give Scylla two of the lily's petals, Caligo picks Scylla up and swims away. After trapping Caligo with her pearl magic, Lumina is able to give Scylla the petals, which cure her of the poison.
Trivia[]
- The scientific name of the sulfur lily is Quidest fetere.
