Stacie Roberts is a character in Barbie: Mermaid Power. Stacie turns into a mermaid along with her sisters and Brooklyn to save the undersea kingdom of Pacifica. During her adventure, she awakens to her Earth powers, which she uses to save Malibu from being pulled into a giant whirlpool, and becomes an Earth mermaid.

Story

Stacie accompanies her sisters and Brooklyn out to the ocean to help clean up accumulated trash in the area. When she notices the glow in her eldest sister's backpack, she informs Malibu of it, and watches her sister reveal the glowing necklace given to her by Isla. She, along with Skipper and Chelsea, insists that mermaids are real when Brooklyn expresses skepticism of the story and pleads with Malibu to take them all with her under the sea. As they all join hands and leap underwater, they are transformed into mermaids, and Stacie follows Malibu with everyone else as the necklace guides them to Isla.

Once they reach their destination, Isla is quick to welcome her old friends, including the "guppies", as she calls the younger girls, back with open arms and leads the new mermaids to the kingdom of Pacifica for the opening ceremony. When the merpeople who live there learn that land dwellers have come to their city, they are quick to keep their distance and show their distrust, except for a mermaid child named Aquaryah, who quickly befriends Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea. Stacie also meets Viva the vaquita, thinking the sea animal is a cool pet, but quickly apologizes to her when she learns from Isla that all sea creatures are treated equal by the merpeople.

Stacie is present as Aquaryah trains Brooklyn and Malibu on the ability to summon forth power, and she witnesses Brooklyn's gradual development of Fire powers. But then, Finn, Aquaryah's older brother, arrives and tries to warn Aquaryah about interacting with strangers, but the younger mermaid fires back that she has full confidence in herself and her abilities. This heated exchange causes Skipper to grow angry, and she awakens Air powers before Stacie's eyes.

When the Barbies are challenged to a Power-Off by Talleigha and Sareena, Stacie witnesses the heated exchange between Brooklyn and Talleigha and watches as they both awaken Fire powers. When Talleigha uses a sneak attack to push Malibu dangerously close to a deadly whirlpool, Stacie's sheer concern for her sister's safety enables her to awaken Earth powers, which she uses to manipulate a boulder and block the current before the whirlpool pulls Malibu inside.

At the games the next day, Stacie watches as Malibu and Brooklyn work together to pass the first trial and cheers her sister on during the Earth and Water challenges, during which she witnesses Finn and Sareena as they awaken Earth and Water powers, respectively. Just then, Viva rushes in, and thanks to Malibu and Sareena translating her language, they all learn that Aquaryah and Chelsea have been kidnapped. However, Coralia informs the merpeople of an emergency that requires all of their immediate attention. Stacie leaves with Brooklyn, Skipper, and the Pacificans to clean up an island of trash near Mermaid Rock while Malibu and Viva concentrate on saving Aquaryah and Chelsea.

Stacie works with her fellow merpeople to try to clear up the accumulated trash, but their powers are not enough to get rid of it all. Just then, Malibu arrives with Aquaryah and Chelsea, as well as a reformed Marlo, who has also been transformed into a mermaid. Malibu reveals that Aquaryah is the new Power Keeper, the mermaid considered the most powerful in Pacifica, and after some encouraging words, Aquaryah awakens her newfound powers. Stacie channels her powers into Aquaryah alongside the rest of the merpeople, and together, they obliterate the island of trash. Stacie celebrates with the others at Mermaid Rock, under the light of the Mermaid Moon.

Personality

The second youngest sister, Stacie is a fun and goofy ball of energy. Strong and athletic, she loves to be constantly moving and loves active games. She is fond of animals, especially sea animals, and easily makes friends due to being outgoing.

Appearance

Human

Similar to Skipper's purple streak, Stacie now sports a light-red streak in her sandy blonde hair, wearing it in her classic ponytail. She wears a seafoam aqua bikini whose top comes down off her right shoulder, and both the top and shorts are decorated with hot pink ruffles sewn around each of the hems.

Mermaid

Stacie's hair is pale silvery blue and sometimes appears almost white, while its streak changes from light red to seafoam aqua. Her top is yellow, and her tail is a light red that is an ombre to pale yellow (not pink, like her doll). She wears a simple seafoam necklace as an accessory.
