Malibu and Brooklyn want to attend Handler while staying at Brooklyn's house, so Malibu tries to be helpful when she has dinner with Brooklyn's family. The next day, before Malibu's parents can take her home, Malibu and Brooklyn sing a song about how strong their friendship is. Kel can't figure out the secret ingredient. Simone books them a reservation at Rice Patio so they go there to eat dessert. Malibu and Brooklyn get a gig as mascots for a costume company. They have to hand out flyers in Times Square. At the same time, two men wear the same mascot costumes while they prank people. Two people at Rice Patio get pranked. Epiphany remembers when Brooklyn worked at Buddy's Cafe and used Simone's number as an emergency contact. Epiphany phones Simone and finds out Brooklyn, Malibu, Daisy and Rafa went camping. Epiphany finds everyone in the woods and she gives Rafa his phone so he can secure the gig.

In "Festival Fiasco", Malibu and Brooklyn are going to perform at the California Music & Food Festival. While packing their bags, Brooklyn makes sure to pack carrots to snack on, as well as a sewing kit. She says she was taught to "pack like a pro" by Simone. Brooklyn uses the sewing kit, carrots and also a wire hanger she found to lure the goats off the road.

In "Game On!", Malibu and Brooklyn compete in a farm-based game show. Kel and Simone watch in the audience with Jayla, Jackson and Rafa. Simone video chats George and Margaret so they can watch too. The girls win the show and receive $1000 worth of potatoes. Simone scolds Jayla and Jackson when she sees them messing around at the game show studio. Malibu and Brooklyn's parents buy the potatoes from the girls to reward them for their hard work in school and on their music. Margaret says she is proud of how the girls made the demo on their own. George says it's their turn to help finish what the girls started. Kel says they've decided to split the cost.

In "Race to the Finish", the West Coast Roberts go to New York to bring Malibu and Brooklyn to California for the summer. The girls try to give their finished demo to Otto Phoenix, but he is out of his office and won't be back until after they've left for California. The girls feel defeated so Simone reminds them they still have time to deliver the demo. Simone and many other people help Malibu and Brooklyn to find Otto, and Simone watches as The Barbies perform for Otto. Otto takes their demo and says he will listen to it and contact the girls. Simone and the rest of the audience cheers and applauds. When Brooklyn leaves for California, Simone asks Brooklyn if she will accept Bertram's offer to go to his highly prestigious acting academy.
