Queen Rowena's Guards were a group of eight armed guards hired by Duchess Rowena to protect her and King Randolph's Castle after she becomes acting queen by poisoning King Randolph.
Story[]
Duchess Rowena poisons King Rudolph to become acting Queen, and shortly after hires eight new guards to protect herself. She orders the guards to find the princessess and throw them in the dungeon, although she doubts they will find them as she had also destroyed the gateway back from the magical kingdom. Desmond then leads the eight heavily armed guards out of Rowena's chambers.
The guards begin patrolling outside King Randolph's Castle. Two guards, both riding horses, stop to discuss their orders from Rowena, including capturing the princesses. They also mention the King is "sick and won't last the night." The princesses, who have just returned from the magical kingdom, overhear the guards' conversation from the other side of a bush. Rowena's guards stand guard at the main entrance to the castle, at the top of the castle steps.
|none|thumb|436x436px]]|none|frame]]The guards stand guard outside various points around the castle. One guard stands watch at one of the towers outside. Another guard is seen ordering a large wooden gate closed, presumably to restrict access to the castle. Finally, two guards emerge from the main entrance of the castle, and stand guard outside the main entrance on top of the castle steps with the doors closed behind them. The princessess realize they must disable these two guards to gain access to the castle. First, Princess Blair and Princess Courtney knock a guard off his horse by holding a rope across the path. The guard falls to the ground, and by the time he gets up to give chase, Princess Blair is already long gone to fetch the doctor and save the King.

Next, Princess Delia and Princess Edeline both hit croquet balls towards the unsuspecting guards on the castle steps, at the command of Princess Genevieve. The first croquet ball hits the guard on his helmet's visor, knocking the visor up and making him begin to lose balance. The second ball hits the second guard's visor, who has just noticed what has happened to the first guard but does not have time to react. Off balance and unable to see in their closed visors, both guards lose their balance and fall down the castle steps in their heavy armor, dropping their spears in the process. Two more guards who were patrolling in the area notice this, and give chase to Delia and Edeline who wave at them from the bottom of the steps.

A croquet ball from Princess Delia strikes a guard in the helmet, knocking his visor upwards and closed.
The two guards notice Princess Delia and Princess Edeline waving at them from the bottom of the steps, and begin the chase.
Princess Genevieve and Derek wait for the two remaining guards to pass them, distracted by chasing Delia and Edeline.
With the guards distracted, Princess Genevieve, Derek, and some of the other princessess as well as Felix and Twyla are able to sneak into the castle through the main entrance. While the guards continue chasing Princesses Delia and Edeline, Princess Isla and Princess Hadley take the guards attention, and the two guards begin chasing them instead. The two guards chase the two princess on the wall, not aware that the princesses have outsmarted them and are actually on stilts.
|none]]Isla and Hedley appear to be walking along a short castle wall, and the guards attempt to follow them on the wall, climbing over benches in the process. However, when Isla and Hedley stop at the end of the wall, the two guards cannot stop in time. The guard in the back hits the guard in the front, and they both lose their balance in their heavy armor, falling into the large bush at the end of the wall. Their spears fall on the ground beside the bush and the guards grunt in pain within the bush as Princess Isla and Hedley walk by. The first guard notices his mistake and tries to stop before falling into the bush at the end of the wall.
The second guard cannot stop in time in his heavy armor, and crashes into the first guard.
The two guards fall into the bush at the end of the wall.
