"Room Swap" is the fourth episode of the third season of the animated series Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. It was released on Netflix on February 14, 2019.[1]

Story[]
Skipper goes to Barbie's room to borrow a pencil. Skipper gets hit by a ball that Chelsea throws while playing with Honey. Barbie updates her bedroom's settings and accidentally makes the Dreamhouse speak German, so she switches it back to English. George and Margaret go to a college reunion and leave Barbie in charge. Skipper and Stacie argue because Skipper listens to music out loud instead of using headphones, and Stacie leaves dirty socks on the floor. Meanwhile, the Reardons are having an addition to their house, so there is construction noise. As George and Margaret leave, Chelsea says goodbye to them again and sees them off with Barbie. Chelsea spots some ants outside the Dreamhouse.
Taffy keeps Barbie company while Barbie bakes a cake. The construction and the sound of her sisters arguing makes it hard for Barbie to concentrate, so some cake frosting ends up on Taffy. Barbie sees that Skipper and Stacie have divided their bedroom in half using tape. The line was Stacie's idea, but Skipper won't allow her to leave the bedroom because the door is on Skipper's side of the room. Stacie dislikes sharing a room with Skipper because everyday, Skipper mixes a single music track over and over again. Skipper dislikes Stacie's endless basketball dribbling.
Stacie tells Barbie to try sharing a room with Skipper, and Barbie surprisingly agrees to do a temporary room swap. Barbie lets Stacie have her room for the weekend, while Barbie shares with Skipper. Meanwhile, Chelsea plays with the ants in Chelsea's Ant Land, which she made out of jars and straws. Stacie gets settled in Barbie's room, and Barbie reminds her not to break anything. Barbie also leaves her room temperature, lighting and bed softness settings in tact since the room swap is only for the weekend. Stacie notices that the Dreamhouse says "goodnight" and "good morning" to Barbie if she sits on or gets off the bed.
In Skipper and Stacie's room, Barbie comes in with two suitcases and a backpack of belongings. Skipper is reading a book from a vampire trilogy, so the room is dark to set the mood. Barbie sprays air freshener because of Stacie's dirty socks, but Skipper hates the scents Barbie uses. Skipper picks a scent she likes, and they keep the room dark against Barbie's wishes. In Barbie's room, Stacie is startled when the Dreamhouse talks to her every time she interacts with something in Barbie's room. Stacie tries to go to bed, but the Dreamhouse forces her to exercise first since it is programmed not to accept excuses. Stacie has to do a warmup for 5 minutes and then exercise on Barbie's dance mat for 1 hour before she can go to bed.
Barbie and Skipper go to bed. Skipper makes fun of Barbie for using a green face mask and says Barbie looks like a zombie. Barbie can't sleep because Skipper is listening to loud music, so Barbie goes over to Skipper to ask her to turn it down. Skipper gets scared seeing Barbie in the dark. In the morning, Chelsea is the only one who slept well. Chelsea says she read a book about ants and tells Barbie facts like ants loving sugar. Stacie and Skipper pretend they like the room swap, but Stacie actually doesn't want to stay in Barbie's room anymore and Skipper doesn't want to share rooms with Barbie again. Skipper pretends she thinks it's unfair for Stacie to be out of her room all weekend, so Stacie eagerly agrees to go back to her room and have Skipper stay in Barbie's room instead. Barbie doesn't find it easy sharing rooms with Skipper, so she is happy too.
Stacie is shocked that Barbie has cleaned her and Skipper's room. Stacie quickly messes it up again because she says she can't find anything if it's put away. At the Reardons, Whittaker tells Poppy that he hopes the construction won't take much longer, and she yelps. Chelsea is still playing with the ants and leads hundreds of them to the Dreamhouse. She uses a packet of sugar to feed them, leaving a trail of sugar on the floor as she runs out the Dreamhouse with it. In Barbie's room, Skipper dumps her bag on the floor and the Dreamhouse tells her to clean up. Skipper doesn't want to clean, but the Dreamhouse was programmed not to accept excuses, so Skipper has to do a list of chores to stop an alarm going off in Barbie's room.
Barbie tries to study in Skipper and Stacie's room, but Stacie is disturbing her by loudly playing basketball. In Barbie's room, Skipper finishes the chores and sits on Barbie's bed, so the Dreamhouse thinks Barbie wants to go to sleep. The Dreamhouse turns off the lights in Barbie's room. Skipper gets up and move around the room, but a book falls on her head and she knocks over a chair. The Dreamhouse detects "unusual activity" and activates the "prank protection procedure" by capturing Skipper in a net. Skipper feels comfortable in the net and uses her phone. In Skipper and Stacie's room, Stacie is mad at Barbie for washing her softball uniform. Stacie says that, for good luck, she doesn't wash her uniform until the end of the season. Stacie gets scared when she sees Barbie in a face mask, and says she looks like a zombie. Barbie says Stacie smells like a zombie, and they both feel frustrated.
In the morning, Barbie is tired from not sleeping well in Skipper and Stacie's room. Ken greets her, making her fall over in surprise. Ken helps Barbie up, and she says it's quieter outside with the construction than it is inside with Skipper and Stacie. Indoors, Barbie overhears Stacie and Skipper arguing. She hears them admitting they don't like sharing rooms with Barbie, so Barbie defends herself by saying they aren't easy to live with either, and she only agreed to the room swap to help them. Suddenly, Chelsea screams. Her sisters discover that there is an ant infestation in the Dreamhouse. Barbie picks up Chelsea and the girls all run out the house.
Ken asks the girls if they're okay. They tell him there is an ant infestation, so Ken cheerily tells them to call Bruno the Bug Man, who is a TV personality. Stacie loves Bruno and she sings his theme song with Ken and Skipper. They call Bruno and he inspects the house. Bruno says the ants were displaced by the construction next door, so the girls have to stay elsewhere while he removes the ants. Chelsea is concerned about the ants being harmed, but luckily Bruno runs a humane repellent service. Barbie tells her sisters to get the puppies and their essentials so they can stay in the camper. Barbie brings three suitcases, Skipper brings DJ equipment, and Stacie brings an assortment of things. The girls argue until Chelsea gets upset. Barbie realizes that Blissa is missing. The girls and the puppies search for Blissa. They assume Blissa was scared away by all the noise, and she could be blocks away by now.
The girls get in the camper and Barbie drives around looking for Blissa. As they drive by the park, Barbie says it's the place where Stacie dunked a basketball for the first time. Stacie adds that she was sitting on Skipper's shoulders. The girls reminisce about the day they got Blissa, who was happy to have a new home until she met the puppies. Barbie says Chelsea was good at helping Blissa and the puppies figure each other out. Chelsea gets an idea to open all the camper windows and meow. The girls all do it, even though Skipper does it reluctantly and thinks it's weird. The girls find Blissa and bring her back to the Dreamhouse, where Bruno is done getting rid of the ants. He sent the ants "home" to the Reardons. Poppy gets scared of the ants and tells Whittaker to do something. Barbie says the girls can go back to their own rooms, and they have a pillow fight.

- There are framed pictures in Barbie's bedroom that can be seen around 6:35 minutes into the episode. The pictures are from Barbie movies. One photo is of Stacie in Barbie Dolphin Magic, and one is of Barbie and her sisters in Barbie & Her Sisters in A Puppy Chase. The same pictures are in the kitchen when the girls have breakfast at around 11:50 minutes in, but there is also a picture of Teresa and Renee from Barbie: Spy Squad.
