"Road Trip!" is a Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures episode. It is the sixth episode of season 1. The episode premiered on Netflix US on May 3, 2018.[1]

Official Description[]

"Barbie and her friends take a road trip to hear Daisy drop the beat at a major music festival. But Daisy keeps finding reasons to stall along the way."[2]

Story[]

The DJ who Daisy always opens for, DJ Cheapshot, has sprained his wrist and wants Daisy to replace him at a music festival named Fun Fling. The audience will have 16,000 people. Daisy has never performed in front of that many people, so she feels nervous. Barbie, Nikki, Teresa and Renee accompany Daisy on a road trip to the festival. The girls pack the camper and then leave. Nikki wants to make a bedazzled signature jacket for Daisy. Renee wants to stage dive at the festival, and Teresa wants to modify Daisy's sound system for her.

Teresa notices that Daisy's turntable is missing, so they go back to the Dreamhouse to get it. They find it in the freezer. Daisy claims she left it there by accident, and the girls continue their trip. Daisy suddenly asks to make a stop at a dinosaur park, claiming she's a dinosaur enthusiast. Daisy's friends ask about her dinosaur souvenir, but Daisy can't name the dinosaur without looking at the label. Daisy still feels nervous about performing, so she asks Barbie to make another stop at the Genuine Gem Cave. Nikki wants something green for the jacket, so Barbie suggests a green gem.

The girls go into the cave, where there is a legend of a prospector's ghost. Daisy claims that her lucky color is green. Barbie knows that Daisy's lucky color is actually yellow, but she doesn't say anything. Nikki wants to use gems to make earrings for Daisy. Daisy claims she knows the cave well, but she gets everyone lost. After they hear wailing, Barbie says the legend of the prospector's ghost is that he has wandered the tunnels for a century, searching for whoever caused the cave-in that trapped him there.

Daisy wants to keep exploring the cave and doesn't care if she gets to the concert late. As Daisy's friend, Barbie wants to be understanding so she continues following Daisy deeper into the cave. Daisy lies that she left her phone behind earlier in the cave, so she goes back to get it. Barbie checks on Daisy, who is using her phone. Daisy admits that she does want to perform at Fun Fling, but she is nervous about performing in front of 16,000 people. Barbie points out that Daisy has already performed in front of 16,000 people by DJ'ing to smaller audiences every weekend for a year. Barbie reminds Daisy of her passion for DJ'ing and that Daisy always says, "If you love what you do, it's worth doing no matter what."

Barbie and Daisy hear their friends scream, so they go looking for them. Barbie and Daisy find their friends in a pit. Renee says they sat in a stationary mine cart for a selfie, but it started moving and drove them into the pit. Barbie and Daisy work together to save Nikki, Teresa and Renee by using a ladder. They drive to Fun Fling and Daisy DJ's while Barbie, Nikki and Teresa dance. They catch Renee when she stage dives, and the girls all have fun at the festival.
