Story[]
Rip fell in love with Calissa, a mermaid. They secretly married and had a daughter, Merliah Summers, who appears human. It was dangerous for Merliah, with her human appearance, to be among Calissa's kind, so she gave Merliah to Break to look after. Merliah didn't find out the truth until she was a teenager. Rip died in an unspecified accident a year before Merliah was born and brought to Break.
