Queen Genevieve's palace is a location in Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper. It is the home of Queen Genevieve and her daughter, Princess Anneliese, as well as Anneliese's cat Serafina. It later became the home of Julian after his marriage to Anneliese. The castle is built on top of a mountain, with a large village at its feet.

Places of Interest[]

  • Anneliese's Bedroom: Anneliese's bedroom is a large area, decorated with curtains and vases of flowers. It has a desk with mineral samples and books for Anneliese to perform her scientific studies at, and a canopy bed with a smaller bed next to it for Serafina. It also has a family portrait of Anneliese, Queen Genevieve, and Serafina on the wall. Attached to the room is a vast balcony.
  • Throne Room: The throne room is where the royal family receives visitors. It has two thrones, one for Queen Genevieve and one for her late husband. It has a portrait of Anneliese on the wall, a display case with the king's crown, and a grand piano.
  • Front Gates: The palace has a set of front gates with guards stationed at them. Anneliese tries to enter through the gates to return home after escaping captivity, but the guard there doesn't believe her claims of being the princess and turns her away.
  • Bathroom: This is where Anneliese takes her usual baths. During her time impersonating the princess as part of Julian's plan to rescue her, Erika has a bath with bubbles, mineral salts, and lavender oil in the bathtub. She sings to her cat Wolfie in the bathroom, which King Dominick overhears.
  • Dungeons: The dungeons are a dimly lit area below the palace, and are where prisoners are held. After being arrested when Preminger exposed her for impersonating Anneliese, Erika is imprisoned here in a cell before escaping.
  • Courtyard: The courtyard is enormous, having a garden with many pink roses (as well as a single blue one) and a grassy field. It also has a pavilion, where Erika and Dominick watch a sunset together. The pavilion is later where Queen Genevieve almost marries Preminger before Anneliese stops their wedding. In the end, this is where Anneliese and Erika respectively marry Julian and Dominick in a double wedding.
