Pepper is a character in Barbie & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale. She is a horse at Alpine Academy.
Story[]
Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea visit their aunt Marlene's Alpine Riding Academy. Stacie wants to choose a horse, but she is a beginner at horse-riding, so Marlene says the horse will pick her. Pepper chooses Stacie as her rider, and they are happy to meet each other. However, Pepper dislikes whenever Stacie acts conceited. Whenever Stacie acts cocky, Pepper walks away when Stacie tries to get on her, making Stacie fall on the ground and get laughed at.
The next day, Pepper hits Stacie with her tail while Stacie brushes her. Pepper snickers at Stacie. Days later, Stacie yanks the reins while riding Pepper, so Pepper stops abruptly and makes Stacie fall off her. Stacie asks Marlene for a new horse, but Marlene says Pepper chose Stacie for a reason, and that Pepper will listen to Stacie when she wants to. Later, Stacie starts gloating while doing a cross-country course with Pepper. Pepper is annoyed by Stacie's arrogance so Pepper stops abruptly in front of a water obstacle. Stacie falls into the water and Pepper snickers.
Later, Barbie sees Stacie skateboarding instead of practicing for the cross-country trial in the upcoming Inter-Academy Equestrian Tournament. Stacie feels angry that she can't control Pepper. Barbie tells Stacie to treat Pepper like a friend instead of trying to control her. Barbie gives Stacie some sugar cubes for Pepper. Stacie reintroduces herself to Pepper and offers her the sugar cubes. Pepper eats the sugar cubes and nudges Stacie. Stacie pets Pepper and asks Barbie for more sugar cubes.
During the tournament, Pepper and Stacie compete in the cross-country competition. They lose points when Pepper doesn't jump over a fence. Before the water obstacle, Stacie tells Pepper they are friends now, so they'll do the jump together this time. Stacie closes her eyes and Pepper does a perfect jump over the water. Pepper and Stacie come 2nd place and Stacie says they will win next year. Pepper neighs and nods. Pepper and Stacie rest their heads against each other's.
That evening, Philippe Cheynet of Ecole Montagne tries to sabotage Alpine by unlocking a horse corral. Pepper and some other horses are in the corral. A horse kicks the corral door open and then Pepper and the other horses escape, so Barbie, Skipper and a boy from Ecole Montagne track down Pepper and the other horses. The horses are found at the Valley of the Majestiques after being led there by Majesty. Pepper and the other Alpine horses are brought back to Alpine Academy. When Stacie is leaving to go home the next day, she admits she will miss Pepper even though she humiliated her, and says Pepper is a cool horse. Pepper neighs, and Stacie holds her face against Pepper's.
Physical Appearance[]
Pepper is a horse with a sandy coat, and her mane and tail is light blonde. She has hazel eyes. Max puts a teal headcollar, saddle and saddle blanket on Pepper. The headcollar has pink ribbons on it and the saddle blanket has white flower outlines on it.
Personality[]
Pepper is temperamental and dislikes when Stacie acts conceited. Pepper finds it amusing when she embarrasses Stacie for behaving arrogantly. She offers Stacie a towel when Stacie falls in some mud. When Stacie is modest, she gets along well with Pepper. Pepper likes when Stacie gives her sugar cubes.
