Ned and Ted Johnson (also known as The Dudes) are characters in Barbie: Princess Adventure. They are brothers who are both voiced by Ogie Banks. Ned and Ted are high school students who get picked to go on a field trip to Floravia.
Story[]
Ned and Ted are students at Golden Beach High. They are friendly with Barbie, who is a vlogger. A princess from Floravia, Amelia sees Barbie's vlog and notices that they look alike. Amelia arranges for Barbie, Ned, Ted and the rest of their friends to stay at the palace for a week. Ned and Ted didn't know where Floravia was, but they were excited to be picked for the free trip. Ned and Ted fly to Floravia with the rest of the students, where Amelia switches places with Barbie so she can live a normal life for a week. Ned and Ted are overwhelmed to hear they will have 24-hour room service.
Ned and Ted go to the Thistleberry Museum. They invite Ken to come with them. Two days before Amelia's coronation as queen of Floravia, Ned and Ted go to a royal horse show because they think it will be cool. They watch Barbie impersonate Amelia as she performs with the princess' personal horse, Morning Star. Ned and Ted recognize that it's actually Barbie, but Trey thinks she's really Amelia. They see Ken talking to Barbie in disguise, and Ned and Ted say again that she wasn't really the princess, but Trey remains unconvinced. Ned, Ted and Ken get on scooters and go out together.
On coronation day, Amelia encounters Ned and Ted in the street while they are playing. Trey thinks she's Barbie because she's in casual clothes. Amelia takes photos of Ned and Ted with Trey, and then leaves. Ned and Ted knew she was really the princess, but didn't say anything to Trey. After Amelia leaves, she was kidnapped by the staff of Prince Johan. Johan is from a rival kingdom and wants Amelia to miss her coronation so he crowned ruler of Floravia instead of her. Ned, Ted and Trey see Barbie in trouble with Johan's guards. Johan wants his guards to lock up Ned, Ted, Trey and Barbie, but Barbie escapes. Barbie and her friends save Amelia and get her to the coronation in time to be crowned queen of Floravia. Ned and Ted join everyone as they celebrate.
Physical Appearance[]
Ned and Ted are African-American teenage boys. Ted is taller and skinnier than Ned. Ted wears a purple short-sleeved shirt with a collar, and a plaid sleeveless jumper. He wears this with gray pants and green shoes. Ned wears a bright green t-shirt with yellow shorts, and navy shoes. They both wear glasses and have short afro hair with shaved sides.
Personality[]
Ned and Ted say "dude" often, which is how they got their nicknames as "the Dudes". They are playful and love bacon. Ned and Ted are inconsiderate when they want to pick places to sit; they step over people and move them out the way. They are goofy, but they are clever enough to figure out that Barbie and Amelia are impersonating each other.
