Marlo's remote is an object in Barbie Dolphin Magic. Marlo uses the remote as a master device to lock the gate at her marine research facility.
Story[]
After Emerald the Gemstone Dolphin is brought to Marlo's research facility on an island, she keeps him in an enclosure. The enclosure is locked using a gate. To open the gate, Marlo has a code that she can input. The other Gemstone Dolphins come to the facility to find Emerald, so Marlo tells her intern Ken the code to open the gate. Marlo then orders Ken to close the gate before the dolphins can escape. She plans on making a profit off the dolphins, so she leaves to arrange for the dolphins to be taken to the mainland facility.
Ken's friend, Barbie, and Isla (who is friends with the dolphins) ask Ken to open the gate while Marlo is gone. However, Marlo has already used her remote to change the code. Barbie comes up with a plan to get the new code by distracting Marlo and hacking her the remote. Ken, Isla, and Barbie's sister Chelsea distract Marlo and Chelsea quietly takes the remote. Barbie's sister Skipper hacks the remote by syncing it to her tablet.
Skipper gets the new code from the remote, and Chelsea discreetly returns the remote. Marlo realizes the remote has been hacked due to it looking different after Chelsea returned it. Marlo changes the code again, so it doesn't work when Skipper tries to free the dolphins with the new code. Marlo says she won't need the remote to open the gate because she will be using a helicopter to transport the dolphins off the island. To make sure Barbie's gang can't use it, she drops it in the water, short circuiting and making it useless.
