Maria Kowroski is a principal ballerina at the New York City Ballet. She performed the motion capture for several of Barbie's ballet roles, and described the roles as "great experiences".

Biography[]
Kowroski started her ballet training in 1983, when she was seven years old, with the School of Grand Rapids Ballet. The School of American Ballet accepted Kowroski as a ballet student in 1992, and she joined New York City Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 1995. Kowroski was promoted to a soloist in 1997, and, in 1999, she was promoted to a principal dancer.
