Lila is a character in Barbie of Swan Lake. She is a purple unicorn who befriends Odette. Lila is voiced by Venus Terzo.
Story[]
Lila first appeared running into the village, Odette was amazed to see a unicorn, but Lila ran when she saw several villagers coming after her. She was able to escape a lasso, an arrow and some logs but after a brief prance Lila was caught by a villager who plans to use her as a prize but after some quick thinking Lila cut the rope with an axe nearby. She passed by the bakery again and after looking at Odette, she went into the forest but the rope got stuck several times by the bushes and brambles. She soon made her way to the waterfall with Odette right behind her, she slipped on the log, and when Odette tried to help Lila got up and used her magic to open the pathway to the magic forest.
After running for a while, Lila got stuck again, she soon reveals that she can talk and asked her if she would help, Odette goes to find something to cut the ropes with. Lila stopped struggling when she noticed that Odette had the magic crystal and could not believe she freed it. Lila is soon cut free and tells the Fairy Queen that Odette freed the crystal. The Queen thanked Odette for freeing Lila and the Queen tells Lila she's not supposed to go into the human world. Lila after dramatically falling over tells the Queen she only went to village to find something to stop Rothbart. The Queen tells Odette that she is barer of the crystal, Lila doesn't see how Odette, a village girl, could save them.
The Queen then explains her backstory and the prophecy of the crystal. She believes that Odette may be a village girl, she may be able to fulfill the prophosy. Odette cannot accept this as she is only a village girl, Lila starts to wonder if the prophocey is true. The Queen asks Lila to show Odette the way out. While walking together Lila tries to convince Odette by telling her what she would do if she had the crystal. Odette says she could never be as brave as Lila, she tells Odette that while that is true she could help her with being brave.
Seconds later Rothbart and his daughter Odille arrive and taunt Odette as they heard that she was the one who got the crystal. Lila taunts them by saying that Odette will defeat them, Rothbart does make her stop talking and he then transforms Odette into a Swan, Lila is shocked by this and after Rothbart plucks a feather, she bumps him and while running urges Odette to go. Lila returns to see a sky full of magic and Odette being completely protected by Rothbarts magic and is so glad she's all right. After Rothbart leaves she tells Odette she got him even though she became a swan. To help the Queen casts a spell on Odette allowing her to remain human but only at night. Hearing the spells temporary power, Odette decides to break the spell, Lila is pleased to hear this. The Fairy Queen tells Odette about the book of Forest Lore and it is the library of Erazmus a troll, after the other elves decline going there, Lila (who isn't bothered by the troll) volunteers.
While traveling, Odette asks her if he is scary, she says that scary isn't even half of it, in fact there have been scary rumors about him but says that they can't be true. Soon they arrive at the library and after using the leaf to open the door Lila walks right in and encourages Odette by saying that she's braver than she thinks. When they enter the library, Erazmus the Troll angrily asks why they are here and Lila explains. Odette shows him the leaf and after smelling it, he becomes polite and offers them tea and cake. Lila and Odette tell him they are here because they are looking for the Book of Forest Lore, and Erazmus has it. He doesn't remember where he put but Odette and Lila help him look. Lila accidentally gets zapped by a defective wand and is given a flower hairstyle which she hates. They still haven't found the book and have spent the whole night searching, but even after Odette becomes a swan at dawn, they continues to look.
They eventually search all day as well, they still have no luck and Lila tells the elves the news. Suddenly Rothbart appears, and scares away Lila and the elves. Later on that night Lila and the elves give Odette and Daniel a special celebration.
After Daniel leaves and inviting Odette to the ball, Erazmus finds the Book of Forest Lore. After opening the book Odette reads that the magic crystal will undo Rothbart's evil if you share a love so true, Lila knows that it has to be Daniel but when Carlita reads that if the person's true love declares his love for someone else the crystal will lose it's power. Lila thinks that is unfair but the prophocy can't be altered, so she tells Odette they need to get her ready for the ball tomorrow. After the Fairy Queen gives Odette a beautiful gown everyone is in awe. To help Odette the elves teach her to dance, Lila is impressed with Ivan's dance and likes Carlita's dance but can't see the Prince declaring his love so the Fairy Queen helps. While dancing, Rothbart abducts Erazmus and the book, the Queen loses her floating abilities but Odette refuses to give up.
They go to Rothbart's house when he is gone and after Odette rescues Erazmus and Lila, Carlita, and Ivan stop Rothbart's ravens. Soon enough Erazmus tells them that Rothbart is going to have Daniel declares his love for Odile. This shocks everyone, Lila volunteers to stop Rothbart but Odette says she'll go since it's her that must declare her love to Daniel, so Lila wishes her well.
While Daniel battles Rothbart, Lila comes to the castle pulling a Swan carriage with the Fairy Queen in the back and both Carlita and Ivan riding in the front. By the time they arrive Odette is on the ground, Ivan says they are too late and Lila blames herself but the Fairy Queen knows Odette is alive and brings her to them. After getting Odette into the carriage Lila takes them back to the forest but Rothbart sees them and takes off after them.
Physical Appearance[]
Lila is a purple unicorn with blue eyes. Her mane, tail, hooves and horn are pink.
Personality[]
Lila is level-headed, protective, and dramatic sometimes, but she is also funny and very brave. She lives in the enchanted forest and hopes that Rothbart will be stopped. She is also very smart as she knew that Daniel would help break the spell.
