King (Magic of Pegasus)

King Marcus is a character in Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus. He and Queen Elvina have two daughters, Princess Brietta and Princess Annika, and Marcus cares about them very much. He is voiced by Russell Roberts.

Story[]

When Annika returns to the palace after leaving to go ice-skating, her parents are so worried and overprotective that they forbid her from skating ever again. That night, Annika sneaks out of the palace to join a festival. However, a powerful wizard named Wenlock appears and asks the princess to marry him. When Annika refuses, Wenlock cryptically reminds Marcus and Elvina of the fate of their "other daughter." Annika, who had been raised to think that she was an only child, is understandably confused by this.

Wenlock magically turns everyone into statues including Marcus, but Annika's saved by Brietta, a pegasus who's eventually revealed to be Annika's long-lost older sister (i.e., the "other daughter" that Wenlock was talking about). Wenlock tells her that she has three days to marry him, otherwise, the spell will become permanent.

When Annika and her allies defeat Wenlock and return to the kingdom, the King and Queen are happy that Annika's safe and are also happy to finally be reunited with their eldest daughter (now in her original human form) after so many years.
