Ken's parents are characters in Barbie: A Touch of Magic. They are neighbors with both the Roberts families and also the Reardon family.

Brooklyn wishes Peggy had somewhere nearby to stay. Ken suddenly invites Malibu and Brooklyn to a barbecue, hosted by his family, to welcome Brooklyn's family to the neighborhood. Ken's parents can't go in their backyard because they are allergic to some jacaranda trees that are blooming, but they agree to let Ken keep Peggy as a pet in the backyard. Ken says he has at least a couple months before his parents' allergies clear up and they realize Peggy is a horse and not a dog.
Peggy-napped![]
Peggy goes missing while Ken is supposed to be watching her. He asks Brooklyn to help him look for her. In his backyard, Malibu asks what they are doing. Brooklyn lies that they were checking if the trees Ken's parents are allergic to are still blooming in the backyard, preventing them from discovering Peggy. Malibu thinks they shouldn't keep lying to Ken's parents, because it feels like lying to her own parents.
