Kelvin Roberts is a minor character in Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams.

Story

Kelvin is from Brooklyn, New York and he lives there with his wife Simone and their daughter Barbie. Barbie goes to a performing arts school in New York and meets another girl named Barbie. The girls nickname each other based on where they are from, so Simone's daughter becomes "Brooklyn" and Brooklyn's friend becomes "Malibu".

Brooklyn and Malibu become friends and get to know each other. Kelvin phones Brooklyn to tell her that Simone is in Mexico. He suggests that Brooklyn live at home while attending the school, but she tells him she doesn't want to travel back and forth every day. Brooklyn tells Kelvin that she thinks he'd like Malibu. Kelvin ends the call by telling Brooklyn that he loves her.

Brooklyn and Malibu compete for a solo performance in Times Square. Malibu accidentally injures Brooklyn, and someone lies to the dean of their school that Malibu intentionally hurt Brooklyn to eliminate her as competition. Brooklyn believes the lie, and the dean expels Malibu.

Malibu goes home. When Brooklyn's friends prove that Malibu didn't mean to hurt Brooklyn, Simone flies Brooklyn to California to apologize to Malibu. Malibu gets re-enrolled at the performing arts school, and the girls find out they get to do the Times Square performance together. Simone and Kelvin watch Brooklyn and Malibu perform.

Personality

Kelvin is a caring and supportive father to Brooklyn; he worries about her and calls her to tell her he loves her, and he watches her perform live even though the performance was being livestreamed.
