Jonas is a character in Barbie & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale. He is voiced by Cole Howard.
Story[]
Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea Roberts visit their aunt Marlene and cousins Marie and Max at Alpine Riding Academy. Ecole Montagne is nearby. Jonas and his friends Albain and Theo visit Alpine. Skipper tries to film Stacie getting on a horse for the first time, but Stacie falls off. Albain and his friends see Stacie fall and laugh at her.
Jonas mocks Stacie with his friends. Skipper uses her tablet to put a picture of Jonas' face on the body of a monkey. Jonas groans, rolls his eyes and then leaves, followed by his friends. Max says the boys were antagonising them because of the upcoming Inter-Academy Equestrian Tournament. Marie says Alpine usually loses to Ecole Montagne.
Jonas later sees Skipper with her tablet and teases her again. Skipper takes another photo of Jonas and says she will put it on the body of a baboon, so Jonas tells Skipper he could outride her any day. Skipper accepts his challenge and walks away. Jonas smiles and shakes his head. Skipper smiles and wonders if Jonas is looking at her.
During the tournament, Jonas competes in dressage against Skipper. He banters with her before her performance. Jonas and his friends are taken aback by Skipper's dressage performance. Skipper wins, so Jonas smiles and applauds. Albain and Theo boo Skipper. Jonas elbows Albain and looks at Theo, making Theo flinch and cover his head. Jonas wonders if he should get a tablet so he can be more like Skipper.
When the Inter-Academy Formal Dance takes place that evening, Jonas drops his glass in shock when he sees Skipper. Jonas approaches Skipper and they playfully tease each other again. They look into each other's eyes and then look away. Jonas asks Skipper to dance, and Theo drops his glass in shock. Ecole Montagne's riding master, Philippe Cheynet, is angry with Albain and Theo for losing their competitions in the tournament. Philippe tries to sabotage Alpine by unlocking a horse corral outside the dance. Chelsea tries to ride one of the horses but the horse panics. Chelsea starts screaming so several people, including Jonas, go outside to see what is happening.
The horse Chelsea is on kicks the corral door open. The horse kicks Alpine's riding master, Etienne Cheynet, in the arm, and Chelsea falls off the horse. The horses escape, so Jonas offers to help Barbie and Skipper track them down. Albain and Theo let Barbie and Skipper use their horses. Jonas, Barbie and Skipper search for the horses until sunrise. Jonas tracks them for as long as possible and apologizes when the tracks vanish. Based on the tracks, Barbie figures out that the horses might be in the Valley of the Majestiques, home to a herd of legendary wild horses she had found. Barbie had befriended one of the Majestiques and named her Majesty. Jonas asks what breed Majesty is, and Barbie says the Majestique are special and must be kept secret. Jonas agrees.
Jonas, Barbie and Skipper encounter Philippe after leaving the Valley of the Majestiqus. Philippe calls Jonas a traitor and tells Jonas not to come back to Ecole Montagne. Philippe is suspicious that Barbie has found the Valley of the Majestique, but she plays coy because she knows Philippe will hunt down the herd and exploit them. Alpine may have to be sold due to low enrolment, so Philippe wants to win the tournament so Alpine doesn't get the prize money. Philippe plans on buying the Alpine land so he can freely search for the Majestique. Jonas is sure Philippe will lose to Etienne in the tournament's final race, but Etienne can't compete because his arm is broken.
Barbie is determined to win, so she and Majesty ride for Alpine against Philippe and his horse Hurricane. Jonas sits next to Skipper and they watch the race. Jonas looks worried as Barbie and Majesty have setbacks during the race, but they still win. Skipper cheers so loud that Jonas has to cover his ears. Alpine wins the overall Tournament Cup and Jonas is happy for them. Jonas smiles when Philippe gets scolded by his mother, Bridgette Cheynet. Later, Jonas helps Skipper and her sisters with their luggage and he sees them off before they leave. Jonas and Skipper banter one last time. Skipper admits that Jonas isn't a bad guy, and they smile at each other. As the girls leave in their camper, Jonas waves and tells Skipper he will email her.
Physical Appearance[]
Jonas is a teenage boy with dark brown hair, brown eyes and light skin. His riding outfit is a white short-sleeved turtleneck, a black equestrian safety vest, a black belt, beige riding pants and black riding boots. At the formal dance, he wears a white shirt, long thin red tie, black suit and shoes.
Personality[]
Jonas is initially mean towards Skipper and Stacie. He calls them names and mocks them. Jonas gains respect for Skipper after seeing her dressage performance and it is strongly implied that they have a crush on each other. He considered himself to be the world's greatest rider until he lost to Skipper; after losing, he considered becoming more like Skipper by getting a tablet. He becomes more polite and helpful and less vain.
