Character

Madame Hélène is a character in Barbie and The Three Musketeers. She is voiced by Kathleen Barr.

Story[]

Hélène appears to be a weak and unassuming old maid at first, working under Madame de Bosse, yet when she overhears Corinne and her friends discussing their desire to be musketeers, she reveals her well-kept secret: she knows of a hidden training room, and her age has not hindered her skill with a sword. Hélène trains the four girls to become musketeers, improving their skills and eventually preparing them for the fight in the ballroom. She eventually becomes Madame de Bosse's supervisor.

Physical Appearance[]

Hélène is an elderly woman with light skin, brown eyes, and gray hair. She wears a pair of small teardrop earrings, and her maid uniform is a pale blue dress over a white blouse, with white tights and dark shoes.

Personality[]

Hélène is an ambitious, spirited, and fiercely helpful mentor to Corinne, Viveca, Renée, and Aramina. She wished to be a musketeer in her youth, and honed her skills dutifully, but the sexist societal standards of the time prevented her from following her dreams. She fulfills this aspiration vicariously through the four pupils she mentors into full-fledged female musketeers.

Trivia[]

Quotes[]

  • (To Corinne, Aramina, Renée and Viveca) "Being a musketeer is more than fighting. It is a noble privilege to protect the royal family. I can teach you the necessary skills, but only a member of the royal family can appoint you musketeers."
  • (To Corinne, Aramina, Renée and Viveca) "In my day, no one thought a girl could be a musketeer. People still think that! You must prove them wrong."
  • (To Corinne, Aramina, Renée and Viveca) "You will work together as a team. If one fails, you all fail!"
