Gloss Angeles is a location in Barbie: A Fairy Secret. It is a fairy city that exists in the fairy realm currently ruled by Princess Graciella and her husband Prince Zane. The realm consists of floating islands and no ground. Therefore the only way to get around is to fly.
Fairy Flyways and Portals[]
A Fairy Flyway in Malibu
In order to travel between Gloss Angeles and Earth, fairies need to pass through enchanted portals. They also use fairy flyways to travel to multiple cities on Earth.
Barbie, Raquelle, Carrie and Taylor use a flyway to teleport to Paris and use Lilliana Roxelle's portal to Gloss Angeles because it was the only one the princess did not close.
Geography[]
Gloss Angeles is a city made up of multiple floating islands and gigantic plants. Below the city is a void with no bottom. To quickly travel to different islands, fairies can use aerovators, which are powerful whirlwinds they can fly inside to help them traverse faster. When fairies fly towards the doors of buildings, the doors are just archways that open and seal themselves, as shown with Wings and Things.
Items[]
Most objects in Gloss Angeles have wings, such as sundae glasses, surfboards, coffee cups and handbags, even pets. Humans visiting Gloss Angeles can buy clip-on wings to fly around. Structures such as platforms or furniture are often seen floating in the air.
Population[]
Gloss Angeles is home to mostly fairies, but also humans, such as Reena, and some animals. Some animals shown were pegaponies, dogs and cats, all with wings.
Laws[]
Princess Graciella, as the ruler of the kingdom, controls all the laws of Gloss Angeles and its inhabitants.
Carrie and Taylor were banished from Gloss Angeles by the princess after a misunderstanding. If they were seen there, they are supposed to be arrested by palace guards.
It is by fairy law that a human who marries a fairy must stay in Gloss Angeles forever.
Fairies who visit the human world are not allowed to reveal the existence of fairies and Gloss Angeles to humans.
Fashion[]
The fairies in Gloss Angeles are very fashionable, and some are even fashion fairies, like Carrie and Taylor. When Barbie and her friends went to Gloss Angeles, there were many fairies with boxes upon boxes for shopping. Instead of billboards, adverts are holographic projections that show in the air.
There is a store for humans staying and/or visiting in the fairy world to buy clip-on wings called Wings and Things. It is where Barbie and Raquelle bought their wings from so they can fly freely around Gloss Angeles.
