George Roberts is a character in Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, Barbie: Princess Adventure, Barbie & Chelsea: The Lost Birthday, Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams, Barbie: It Takes Two, Barbie: Epic Road Trip, Barbie: Skipper and the Big Babysitting Adventure, and Barbie: A Touch of Magic. He is voiced by Greg Chun. George is married to Margaret and they have four daughters named Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea. They live in a Dreamhouse in Los Angeles, California with their pets. Pre-Dreamhouse Adventures[]
In "Welcome to the Dreamhouse!", it's mentioned that George and his family moved to Malibu, California (from their old hometown of Willows, Wisconsin) when Barbie was 8. They became neighbors with Ken.
In "Balancing Act", it is mentioned that ever since Barbie was about 6, Barbie and George have had a tradition of going out at midnight on the equinox to watch for meteors and balance eggs. They drink hot chocolate, eat curried egg-salad pizza, and George tells jokes about eggs. Stacie and George's tradition is that they do team tightrope at Beach Fest, and Skipper and George's tradition is that they go to a technology expo called the Gee Whiz Expo every Spring.
Dreamhouse Adventures[]
Season 1[]
In "Welcome to the Dreamhouse!", George and his family move into their new Dreamhouse. The Dreamhouse starts to malfunction and the Reardons have the Roberts' moving van towed. George says he forgot to tell the Reardons they were moving that day. Margaret gets annoyed, and George says she probably made a mistake with the Dreamhouse's programming. Margaret and George argue throughout the day as George repeatedly blames Margaret for the house malfunctioning. Margaret wonders if it really was her fault, so George comforts her. She later sees that a squirrel chewed the wires in the house's access panel, so she fixes it and the family get settled in their new house.
In "Clubhouse (Remix)", it is Chelsea's birthday. George and Margaret take Chelsea to the mall while her sisters attempt to redecorate Chelsea's clubhouse. They leave it by the curb while they look for decorations, so a garbage truck takes it away. George returns home with Chelsea and Margaret, so people distract Chelsea while Barbie and her friends find the clubhouse. They bring it home and surprise Chelsea with a redecorated clubhouse.
In "Nobody's Cupcake", Barbie competes in an extreme baking show called Bake 'til You Ache. Her rival is Tammy Bounceway, a rising social media lifestyle influencer. Ken and the Roberts family support Barbie from the audience. Margaret calculates Barbie's odds of winning by using an algorithm, but George says Barbie will be fine because he brought their lucky Wisconsin cheese bunny. Tammy cheats during the show, but Barbie wins with help from her family in the audience.
In "The Great Pioneer Adventure", George wants to make a documentary about a modern family living like American pioneers in 1840. The Roberts agree to spend the weekend without phones, cars and electronics, and they camp in their backyard. Margaret has a crisis at work and has to go to her office. Due to a traffic jam, Margaret won't be able to get to her office in time. George apologizes for inconveniencing her, but she says the traffic is not his fault. Barbie and Skipper ride a horse named Misty to Margaret's office in time to solve Margaret's work crisis, and then Barbie tells her family what happened around a campfire.
In "Baby Sister Babysitter", Barbie is supposed to babysit but she wants to see a movie with her friends. George suggests that Skipper babysit instead of going to the planetarium with him, Margaret, Stacie and Chelsea. Skipper is left alone with the kids she is babysitting, so Barbie worries about her. Barbie goes home to spy on Skipper and sets off an alarm by accident, so George and the others come home.
In "Picture Perfect Cake", Barbie enters a robotics competition at Robot Con. It takes place the same weekend as her parents' 20th anniversary. Barbie's the one who usually plans the party for her parents' wedding anniversary, but her parents encourage her to go to the robotics competition -- Skipper takes over the planning for the party, but in the process, accidentally ruins the cake that Barbie had made for her parents. When Barbie learns of the situation, Chelsea distracts George and Margaret while Barbie works with Skipper and Stacie to help them make a replacement cake.
In "The Roof Fairy", Margaret and George go out to dinner and leave Barbie in charge. Chelsea tells Barbie about a the Roof Fairy. Barbie says she isn't real. Margaret and George call to check on the girls. When they find out about the Roof Fairy, Margaret and George find it cute and say that imagination is important.
Season 2[]
In "Balancing Act", Barbie feels like she has outgrown her father-daughter tradition of spending equinox with George. She agrees to let Chelsea do it instead, but Barbie feels sad about giving up the one-on-one time with George. Barbie finds them and admits she's not ready to give up the tradition, and the three of them do the tradition together.
In "Trey Is for Horses", Chelsea wants to raise funds start a school that will teach puppies how to read. Only Skipper and George donate. Chelsea wants to get donations quickly, so George suggests a garage sale. Chelsea asks people for items she can sell. Skipper gives her an autographed photo of a cartoon character. George gives Chelsea his wooden carvings of ducks. At the garage sale, George buys the autographed photo and Skipper wants the wooden ducks. Chelsea thanks everyone who bought things.
In "A Dreamhouse Puppy Tale", Chelsea tells her family a story about how the vacuum and an alligator toy want to take over the Dreamhouse while the Roberts are asleep. They steal items from around the house to make a slingshot to launch the puppies into the sea. In reality, the items went missing because Chelsea made a sculpture as a surprise for Margaret's birthday. The sculpture is of the Roberts sisters and Margaret on an island, since Margaret wants to go on vacation to Hawaii the following year. Chelsea used one of Barbie's photos to have their faces on the sculpture. George isn't included properly because Chelsea couldn't find a small enough photo of him to use. Chelsea also used George's electric screwdriver and modelling clay.
In "Putts for Pups", Chelsea holds a mini golf charity event in their neighborhood to get money for books so she can teach puppies to read. Poppy and Whittaker don't want Chelsea to play in front of their house. Skipper and Stacie bake things for George, but Barbie trying to use the food to persuade Trey to convince his parents to join in. Chelsea completes the tournament and everyone donates books. Skipper and Stacie bake dog treats to celebrate, and George eats one by accident.
In "Pied Pupper", Barbie attaches a camera to Honey's collar so that Chelsea can film a day in the life of a dog. They wonder if Honey will be able to find where George hid their Christmas presents. Barbie says that George probably forgot where he put them.
In "A Delicate Situation", Chelsea asks George if they can play mini golf, but he is busy. Renee comes to stay and practices a performance she might do for her family at Chinese New Year. She plays the violin badly so George and Margaret cover their ears. They lie that it's because it's their annual "Ear Wax Removal Day."
Season 3[]
In "Virtually Famous", Barbie gets "vlogger's block" and needs help thinking of vlog ideas. Her friends help her to film a vlog, and it goes viral. Barbie's friends visit and say it's for something important, so George lets them in. Barbie goes in her room and sees her friends planning more videos. Teresa becomes obsessed with making more viral videos. Barbie finds it hard to be honest that she's not having fun chasing internet fame. Barbie eventually tells Teresa the truth, and they film a lip dub video with everyone, including George.
In "All Dogs Go to the Beach", Poppy uses her connections to ban dogs from the beach. Barbie and Nikki are unhappy about the dog ban, so Nikki runs for office with Barbie as her campaign manager. George helps by planning a campaign event for Nikki. He sets up a debate between Nikki and Poppy. He originally gets the date wrong so he has to rearrange it. The Reardons sabotage Nikki's campaign and Poppy wins by one point after the debate goes badly for Nikki. Poppy is caught insulting the voters, so to avoid a recall election, she pretends to love dogs and reverses the dog ban.
In "The Ballad of Windy Willows", Barbie and Daisy visit Willows to see Barbie's Aunt Adele at Windy Willows inn. George and Margaret see the girls off and Margaret tells Barbie to give Adele their love. At the inn, Barbie and Daisy use an electric juicer that George and Margaret gave Adele as a birthday present ages ago.
In "Room Swap", George and Margaret go to a college reunion and leave Barbie in charge. When they're leaving, Chelsea comes to say bye to them again and she sees them off with Barbie. While they are gone, Barbie swaps rooms with Skipper and Stacie and the Dreamhouse gets infested with ants because of Chelsea.
In "Totally Spying", the Reardons get the Roberts' mail, including a wooden duck carving magazine for George and a notice that says if the Roberts don't file the Dreamhouse blueprints by the next day, they could be forced to move. Poppy tells Trey to steal the blueprints so they can make the Roberts move far away. Trey pretends to get injured by Stacie's skateboard while his parents are away, so the Roberts sisters bring him into the Dreamhouse. George and Margaret rush home when they hear Trey was injured. George keeps Trey company. Trey pretends he is interested in architecture, so George shows him the blueprints. They carve wooden ducks together. Trey likes it, but asks to take a break. After being overwhelmed by the Roberts' care, he admits he lied about being injured and that he liked spending time with them because they are caring, unlike his parents. He feels wistful when he overhears George for asking his straight chisel, and he leaves. He has Rookie secretly put the blueprints back.
In "Barbie Roberts: Undercover Mermaid Part 1", George goes to a tropical island with his family and Barbie's friends. George and Margaret are going to a documentary festival. Margaret worries about her younger daughters and gives them rules to follow. George tells Margaret that they will be fine. They turn off their phones during the festival. Barbie and her friends go to a mermaid convention. There will be a fashion show judged by Nikki's idol, Fairuza Ukwani, so Barbie suggests they model Nikki's designs at the show. Margaret lets Nikki borrow a necklace for the show, but Chelsea accidentally drops it while pranking Barbie. A monkey from the island steals the necklace. A hotel detective catches Barbie's sisters trying to prank her and he assumes they are responsible for the escalating thefts at the hotel.
In "Barbie Roberts: Undercover Mermaid Part 2", George and Margaret are at the documentary festival. George is one of the judges. George and Margaret have their phones off while they watch documentaries, so their daughters are unable to contact them. They cry after a documentary because it is about daughters. George says he is even more proud of his daughters now, and Margaret stops worrying about them because she thinks they would never get in real trouble. They go to get popcorn before the next documentary. Barbie's sisters prove their innocence thanks to a plan by Barbie, and Barbie also gets Margaret's necklace back.
In "A Dog's Day in Court", Nikki is at the Dreamhouse getting help with her pet business. Some dogs run over to the Reardons and give Trey fleas. This inspires a plan by Poppy to make the Roberts move away. The Reardons release fleas in the neighborhood and cause a 3-mile wide flea infestation. Nikki has no customers because of this. While the houses are being fumigated, there is an official city order that there can be no animals on the premises. George and Margaret take Blissa and the puppies to a pet hotel. Poppy rents several animals and has them delivered to the Dreamhouse. An animal inspector checks the Dreamhouse, sees the animals, and says the Roberts have the right to appear before the city council and plead their case. In court, George and Margaret stall until Barbie finds an animal rental receipt and a witness (the person who delivered the animals) to prove that Poppy is to blame. Poppy resigns from the city council and the Roberts are saved from being evicted.
Go Team Roberts! Season 1[]
In "Magical Mermaid Mystery: Part 1", George and his family are going on vacation to Costa Rica so George can film a whale documentary. Barbie is disappointed to miss the vacation, but she is excited about her job and her parents are proud of her for being mature, responsible and committed to her job. While the Roberts are away and Barbie is busy working, Trey plans to have a party at the Dreamhouse. The vacation starts off rough, since there was turbulence on the plane and George miscalculated how long travelling would take. Chelsea asks their driver, Juan, if he believes in mermaids, and he says the mermaid legend is true. George is skeptical but Juan says he believes it because he's seen it. He drops the Roberts off at some small shacks. George says it looked bigger in pictures, but it's the closest place they can stay to where the whale migration ends.
Princess Adventure[]
George helps Barbie and Daisy to film a music video for their song "Try It On". Chelsea said that Skipper and Stacie made fun of her for wanting to play dress-up, so he tells them that wasn't nice. Chelsea says she wants to pretend to be a laser pirate princess, and Barbie encourages her by saying she can be who she wants to be. This inspires Barbie to write a chorus for "Try It On", and George features in the music video. Barbie gets picked to go on a school trip to Floravia, so George and the rest of the family see Barbie off at the airport. When Barbie and her friends attend the coronation for Amelia, the queen of Floravia, George and the rest of the family watch a video of them celebrating.

Big City, Big Dreams[]
George's daughter Barbie dreams of being a Broadway star, so she enrols in a summer program at Handler Arts Academy in New York. As she travels there from Malibu, George and the rest of the family video chat with her. George worries about Barbie being in New York by herself, so he installed a tracker on her phone. He tells Barbie that he can't wait to come visit.
In New York, Barbie becomes friends with a girl from Brooklyn]]. They have the same name, so they nickname each other based on where they're from. Barbie becomes Malibu, and her new friend becomes Brooklyn. Malibu, Brooklyn and the other students compete for a Spotlight Solo performance that will be take place in Times Square. One day, Malibu accidentally knocks Brooklyn into an orchestra pit, but a witness lies and claims Malibu deliberately sabotaged Brooklyn. Malibu gets expelled and comes home to California.
George tries to comfort her, but Malibu is devastated. He says he is here for Malibu is she wants to talk. Brooklyn finds out that Malibu pushed her by accident, and goes to California to apologize and bring her back to the academy. George gives them some privacy while they talk. They later find out they have both get to do the Spotlight Solo, so George and the rest of the Roberts family go to New York to watch Malibu and Brooklyn perform in Times Square.
It Takes Two[]
In "It Takes Two", Malibu's family goes to New York to bring her home to California. Malibu wants to stay in New York with Brooklyn so they can keep going to Handler and have a music career together, but George and Margaret want Malibu to go back to Golden Beach High. To change their minds, Malibu and Brooklyn try showing George and the rest of Malibu's family how great New York is, but it doesn't go well. After Malibu and Brooklyn sing a song about their friendship, their parents give them a standing ovation. George, Margaret, Simone and Kel agree to let the girls go to Handler for the fall semester, with the girls staying at Brooklyn's house instead of the dorms.
In "Festival Fiasco", the Roberts enter the annual Chilli Cook-Off at the California Music & Food Festival. George spent a year creating a new recipe so they wouldn't lose to the Reardons. George puts his secret ingredient blend in a jar, but accidentally leaves it at home. Malibu and Brooklyn are performing at the festival and left after the rest of Malibu's family, so Margaret asks Malibu to go home and get the jar. In the meantime, George has Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea go around the festival getting ingredients so he can improvise another recipe. Malibu and Brooklyn get the jar to him in time and he uses it to win the Chilli Cook-Off. George and his family sit with Ken while they watch The Barbies perform.
In "Game On!", Malibu and Brooklyn compete in a farm-based game show. Brooklyn's family watch in the audience and Simone video chats George and Margaret so they can watch too. The girls win the show and receive $1000 worth of potatoes. Malibu and Brooklyn's parents buy the potatoes from the girls to reward them for their hard work in school and on their music. Margaret says she is proud of how the girls made the demo on their own. George says it's their turn to help finish what the girls started. Kel says they've decided to split the cost. Malibu thanks her parents.
In "Race to the Finish", George and the rest of Malibu's family go to New York to bring Malibu and Brooklyn to California for the summer. The girls try to give their finished demo to Otto Phoenix, but he is out of his office and won't be back until after they've left for California. The girls feel defeated so George says it's not like them to give up. George and many other people help Malibu and Brooklyn to find Otto. George asks a security guard if he's seen Otto, and the guard ignores George. Chelsea has a more demanding approach and gets an answer. Malibu and Brooklyn find Otto and George watches them perform for him. Otto takes their demo and says he will listen to it and contact the girls. George and the rest of the audience cheers and applauds. When the West Coast Roberts leave for California with Brooklyn, Rafa and Gato sneak onto the camper, so Malibu tells George that they will need to take a detour through Queens.
Epic Road Trip[]
Malibu, Brooklyn, Skipper and Ken prepare to take a road trip in the camper. Along the way, they will help the Malibu Doggy Rescue Centre find homes for deserving dogs. George helps to prepare for the trip. Most of the dogs are in the camper, except for Bella and Ella, who Chelsea tries to sneak away with. George and Margaret notice and George asks Chelsea what she is doing. Chelsea explains that she doesn't want the dogs to be separated because they are sisters. Malibu promises she will take extra good care of Bella and Ella until they find perfect homes for them.
Rafa calls to let Malibu and Brooklyn know that he booked them an audition to be backup singers for Jacinda's new music video. Margaret asks who Jacinda is, so Malibu, Brooklyn, Skipper and Stacie start singing Jacinda's song "Flip the Script". George sings too, which confuses and embarrasses everyone. Brooklyn wants to find an express route to New York so she and Malibu can get to the audition, but Ken and Skipper want to take a scenic route and skip the audition. The viewer makes the decision for Malibu. When Malibu, Brooklyn, Skipper and Ken leave, George waves goodbye and tells them to drive safe. There are multiple endings depending on the viewer's choices. In several of the endings, Malibu moves back to California with George and the rest of her family, and they adopt Bella and Ella.
Big Babysitting Adventure[]
Barbie, Stacie and Chelsea are all going to be gone for most of the summer (Barbie's doing volunteer work in the rainforest while Stacie and Chelsea are off to a sleepaway camp), George is wistful about his daughters growing up so fast. Chelsea asks if he needs a hug from her stuffed giraffe Darbie, since Chelsea finds Darbie comforting. George pretends he is fine, but he becomes overwhelmed and hugs Darbie. Skipper's the only daughter staying home for the summer, so she thinks it will be boring being with George and Margaret since they are adults. After Margaret lists off the chores and errands that need to be taken care of, Chelsea figures that Skipper might need Darbie more than their dad does.
George and his family have a group hug before George and Margaret take Stacie and Chelsea to camp and drop Barbie off at the airport. Skipper gets a summer job at the Oceans Extreme water park and the Roberts get a letter from Stacie and Chelsea. Skipper thinks letters are outdated, which George finds funny. Skipper reads the letter to her parents and George looks touched. The letter reveals that Stacie and Chelsea have been sneaking off at night to play around in a party bus. Margaret thinks the letter is sweet, except for the sneaking part, but George and Skipper agree that is the best part. George and Skipper fist bump, and Margaret laughs at them. After Skipper helps Oceans Extreme to open a daycare/play area for young children who're too small to go on any of the rides at the park, the Roberts family visit her at work. Skipper DJs while her friend Joy sings, and George and the family join them on stage.

Season 1[]
In "When Barbie Met Peggy, George asks Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea to be quiet while he records lines for his latest documentary about the bat-eared fox. The puppies knock George over, so he has Stacie and Chelsea take the puppies outside. Malibu and Brooklyn find a baby pegasus named Peggy on the beach and bring it to the Dreamhouse. Malibu asks Stacie and Chelsea to hide Peggy. They make a lot of noise while doing so, distracting George from his work. Frustrated, George yells that they better not be sneaking a pet into the house. Malibu and Brooklyn manage to hide Peggy in the backyard and then take her to the beach without George becoming aware of Peggy's existence.
In "Finding Home", George discovers Peggy causing trouble in the Dreamhouse. Malibu says she thought she could find a home for Peggy before having to tell George about her. George is still working on his bat-eared fox documentary, so he is too busy to keep an eye on Peggy. Peggy ruins one of George's wooden ducks, so George tells Malibu to find Peggy a new home today. Later, Ken's family hosts a barbecue to welcome Brooklyn's family to the neighborhood. George attends and gives Kelvin a cooking tip. When Malibu and Brooklyn sing for everyone, George and Kelvin dance together.
In "Barbie, You Can Drive My Car", Malibu and Brooklyn see George on a bike while Malibu gives Brooklyn a driving lesson. Margaret later offers to give Brooklyn a lesson, but she mentions George took the camper, so Malibu lets Brooklyn use her car.
In "Skate to Me, Barbie", George and his family attend Simone and Kelvin's anniversary party.
In "Careful What You Wish For", Skipper has a dream where Malibu doesn't exist. Skipper wants to have cake for breakfast, and George says he won't tell Margaret if Skipper gives him a piece too. George asks Skipper to bring an important envelope to the bank. Skipper is confused to be given that responsibility. George tells Skipper it's because she's the oldest. When Skipper brings up Malibu, George asks who Malibu is. George gives Skipper the camper keys so she can drive to the bank. Skipper goes to have a DJ dance party in the woods first. George phones Skipper and appears as a hologram. He says the banker called when Skipper didn't deliver the envelope, and the banker is taking their house away.

George is an adult man with black hair that has gray streaks, blue eyes and light skin. He is tall and he wears black glasses and a gold wedding ring. In most appearances, George wears a blue grid check shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a white top underneath, light khaki slacks and brown shoes. He also wears a silver watch. In The Lost Birthday George wears a dark gray polo shirt with a white trim, white shorts, white and dark gray slip-on shoes, and a silver watch. He also wears this in the "Festival Fiasco" episode of It Takes Two, and he sometimes wears it in A Touch of Magic. In A Touch of Magic, George wears a black cycling helmet when he rides a bike.
Personality[]
Dreamhouse Adventures[]
George is easy-going and kind. He likes telling "dad jokes" and making puns, watching American football. He makes documentaries for a living and wants to have his own editing suite in the Dreamhouse. George enjoys carving wooden ducks. In "Totally Spying", he has a subscription for a magazine related to this hobby. George has six duck carvings that represent each of his documentaries. George calls them "duck-umentaries" and he feels very attached to them. He has a magazine subscription for wood carving. He believes in good luck so he uses a lucky Wisconsin cheese bunny.
George loves his family and they call themselves Team Roberts. He dislikes his family using technology too much. When Margaret is annoyed with him, he laughs nervously, tries complimenting her, and blames Ken for self-preservation. George has unique father-daughter traditions with each of his daughters. When Barbie feels too old for her tradition, she lets Chelsea do it instead. George reassures Barbie that he isn't disappointed. When Barbie admits she actually isn't ready to let go of the tradition, George advises her that growing up isn't easy, but with time she will find the right balance between growing up and being a little girl.
Princess Adventure[]
George is friendly and caring. He gently let Skipper and Stacie know they were wrong for making fun of Chelsea when she wanted to play with them. He is helpful and assists Barbie with her music video. When Barbie goes on her school trip, George feels sentimental and mentions how fast Barbie has grown up.
The Lost Birthday[]
George is a caring parent and tells his daughters to follow Barbie's lead when he is not around. When he first gets onto the ship, the first thing he wants to do is relax and take a nap. He feels so tired that he quickly falls asleep on a luggage cart and then sleep-talks about having "so many daughters."
Big City, Big Dreams[]
George is a caring and concerned father. He puts a tracker on Malibu's cell phone when she is in New York by herself, and calls her while she is travelling. He pretends he isn't worried, but everyone can tell he is. Malibu knows that he is worried, so she sends him photos. George tries to comfort Malibu when she is upset, and he goes to New York to watch her perform live even though the performance is being livestreamed.
Epic Road Trip[]
George is helpful and kind. He helps Malibu and the others to prepare for their trip, and he doesn't get angry at Chelsea for trying to sneak Bella and Ella away. He likes Jacinda's song "Flip the Script" and sings it enthusiastically, which confuses and embarrasses everyone.
Big Babysitting Adventure[]
George loves his daughters and feels sentimental about Stacie and Chelsea going to camp for the summer.
