Floravia is a location in Barbie: Princess Adventure. It is a small but influential country on the Mediterranean Sea, and it is ruled by Queen Amelia, who lives in a palace there.
Story[]
When the princess of Floravia, Amelia, felt stifled by her royal life, she noticed a vlogger from Malibu named Barbie looked identical to her. Amelia invited Barbie and her friends for the first ever Malibu-Floravia Cultural Exchange, which includes an all-expenses paid, week-long stay in the palace in Floravia. When Barbie and her friends arrived, Barbie and Amelia switched places for a week so Amelia could experience a normal life before being crowned queen.
Johan, a rival prince from Johanistan, was scheduled to perform a dance at Amelia's coronation. The dance would reenact the treaty between their two countries, and the performance would formalize Johanistan surrendering to Floravia. Johan secretly wanted to be crowned king, so he arranged for Amelia to be kidnapped so that she would miss the coronation. By law, if Amelia did not appear at the coronation, both kingdoms would pass to Johan.
With the help of Barbie and her friends, Amelia got to the coronation in time to tell the people of Floravia that Johan was trying to deny them their rightful leader. She told everyone that she was ready to be queen, and she was crowned the new ruler. A celebration took place at the palace.
Culture[]
Floravia is also known as the "Land of Romance". The national food is thistleberries, and there is a Thistleberry Museum there. A Royal Horse show and Amelia's Coronation take place during the film. It is unknown who ruled Floravia before Amelia, but she is the youngest queen ever. According to Nikki, Floravia has a notable fashion scene and Amelia is a fashion icon. Floravia has trendy pop-up stores for people to shop at. Teresa is interested in the ancient history and architecture of Floravia.
