The Emoji NPCs are characters created by Cutie through coding. They are all depicted as lovely and covered in simple yellow color. When Cutie accidentally created a purple emoji, it became a virus that quickly infected the other emojis and the virus spread throughout the game.
By having Barbie play and win the game levels, she was able to defeat the virus and cure all the infected NPCs.
