Codes are data instructions to create and control computer programs. Barbie used the trophies she received from winning the game levels to her advantage on her mission to beat the game.

Story

She first demonstrated her ability to use code by creating a music belt for Bella to play. After winning Level 2, Bella gave her a trophy and used the code in it to forge a portal back to the Bonus Level where she used a yellow block to forge an alternate route to beat the level. By winning the level, she received five extra trophies, which she used to create an Anti-Virus to battle the Virus. When confronting the monster, Bella gave Barbie the last code she stashed away, and she used it to create a dancing floor and challenge the monster to a dancing game.

Simultaneously, Cutie used his newly accumulated skill of coding to create Emoji NPCs to stop feeling lonely and isolated, and accidentally created the virus that infected almost everyone in the game. He also used a code to alert the others to run toward the tree after making sure Barbie had arrived. During the final battle, he used his coding skill to turn Barbie back into her regular game form, and then the others, to give her an advantage in the dancing game.
