Barbie: A Camping We Will Go[]

Chelsea Roberts is a character in Barbie: A Camping We Will Go. She is voiced by Ashlyn Drummond.

Story[]

Chelsea goes on a camping trip with her older sisters Barbie, Skipper and Stacie, and also Barbie's puppy Taffy. Barbie drives the camper to the woods. Chelsea is the most excited when they arrive, and she wants to have lunch before they do anything else. She argues with Skipper and Stacie over what they will do first. Barbie interrupts them and reassures her younger sisters that they will have time to do everything. Barbie suggests they start by assembling the tent. Chelsea and Stacie bicker while putting the tent up, but they have fun.

After the tent is put up, Chelsea still wants to eat lunch. Chelsea, Skipper and Stacie can't agree on what to do next, so they play rock paper scissors. Stacie wins, so they go biking. The girls encounter a skunk and it sprays Taffy. They go back to the camper. After cleaning Taffy, Barbie announces that it's time for dinner and songs around the campfire. Her sisters cheer, and Stacie and Chelsea applaud. Unfortunately for the girls, it starts raining. They go into the camper for shelter and Chelsea argues with Skipper and Stacie again. Chelsea thinks that if they had started by eating lunch, like she wanted, then Taffy wouldn't have gotten skunked.

Barbie stops her sisters from arguing and they make s'mores together, which cheers them up. Chelsea wants to make more, but Barbie ate the rest of the marshmallows. Right as Skipper is about to perform a song for everyone, Stacie notices that Taffy is outside in the howling wind and rain. Skipper rescues Taffy, so Chelsea cheers and claps. Barbie apologizes to her sisters that their trip was ruined by the rain. Before she can pack up to go home, Chelsea says she wants to stay and tells Barbie she wants to go biking again the following day. Chelsea notices that the rain stopped, so everyone sleeps outside under the stars.

Physical Appearance[]

Chelsea has blonde hair, blue eyes and light skin. She has her hair in space buns with side-swept bangs. Chelsea wears a multi-colored t-shirt, a purple and lilac jacket with blue hearts on it and a pink collar, dark blue denim jeans, and pink shoes and socks. When Chelsea goes cycling, she wears a dark pink and black helmet.

Personality[]

Chelsea is cheerful and loves camping. The thing she loves most about camping is eating foods like hotdogs and s'mores. She tries to help set up the tent, but she fights over it with Stacie because Chelsea wants to do it alone. However, they end up having fun doing it together. Chelsea was excited for dinner and songs around the campfire, but it started to rain. Even though things went wrong during their camping trip, Chelsea had fun and told Barbie she enjoyed biking.

Barbie: A Perfect Christmas[]

Chelsea Roberts is a character in Barbie: A Perfect Christmas. Her speaking voice is by Ashlyn Drummond and her singing voice is by Lucia Vecchio. Chelsea lives in Malibu, California with her older sisters Barbie, Skipper and Stacie. The girls dream of having the perfect Christmas in New York, but things don't go to plan.

Story[]

Chelsea, Barbie, Skipper and Stacie plan on spending Christmas in New York with their aunt, Millicent. Chelsea wants to go to the Central Park Zoo and take part in the special sea lion feeding. She believes she will have the perfect Christmas. Barbie brings their stockings and the girls board the plane. Stacie finds Chelsea irritating on the flight because Chelsea copies her.

Due to a snowstorm, the plane is forced to land. Barbie promises her sisters they will get to New York. Barbie drives for hours but the girls get lost. They stop to find a bathroom for Chelsea to use. The girls find the Tannenbaum Inn and meet Christie Clauson and the Elif family. Chelsea and her sisters help Christie and the Elifs to wrap presents for a toy drive. Chelsea thinks the inn must be Santa's workshop and that the Elifs are Santa's elves, but Stacie points out that his workshop is in the North Pole. Christie says that any place people come together to bring Christmas to others is one of Santa's workshops, which makes Stacie and Chelsea happy.

That night, Skipper says flights may be cancelled for days. Chelsea asks Barbie to promise they will get to New York. Barbie promises and her sisters go to sleep. Barbie feels sad because she thinks she will have to take the perfect Christmas away from her sisters. She confides in Christie, who says the perfect Christmas is a feeling that can't be taken away once it's found. The next day, on Christmas Eve, the snow has stopped. Chelsea gets excited and thinks they really will get to New York, but Skipper says their flight is cancelled.

Chelsea worries that Santa won't be able to find her and her sisters, so Barbie puts their stockings on the window sill in their room at the inn. The girls look outside and see silhouettes of reindeer in the distance. Chelsea thinks they are Santa's reindeer. When the girls go out, they find Christie and the Elifs with some shelter dogs dressed as Santa's reindeer. Stacie wants to play with the dogs, so Chelsea copies her. Stacie gets angry with Chelsea and calls her a copycat. Chelsea goes off on her own and meets Rudy, one of the dogs. Chelsea gets in a small sled attached to Rudy and gets pulled away when Rudy chases a squirrel. Stacie and her sisters get in a sled to chase after Chelsea and Rudy.

Once Chelsea's sisters catch up, Chelsea starts a snowball fight and the girls play in the snow with Rudy. They also find some eight real reindeer. The girls follow the herd to a barn filled with hundreds of wrapped gifts. Chelsea thinks it's Santa's barn. The girls head back to the inn to ask Christie about it. They encounter a boy named Brian, who has a band with no lead singer. Chelsea offers to sing for them. Brian listens to Chelsea sing and says he will keep her in mind. Barbie suggests that Skipper sing with Brian's band for a concert at the inn. Skipper agrees but wants to arrange everything by herself.

Stacie and Chelsea want to help with the concert, so Christie says they can be the opening act and do a dog show to showcase the shelter dogs up for adoption. Stacie is disappointed that she has to do the dog show with Chelsea. Chelsea tells Barbie that Stacie is being mean to her. Stacie denies it but says she still wants to a dog show separately from Chelsea. Chelsea tries to talk to Skipper, but Skipper feels stressed by all the decision-making she has to do. Skipper snaps at Chelsea. Stacie says now Skipper is mad at Chelsea too, and Chelsea is in everyone's way. When Chelsea looks sad and walks away, Stacie calls her a "baby". Chelsea runs away with Rudy.

While Stacie is preparing for her performance, some dogs run amok and ruin the concert set up, and everyone realizes Chelsea is missing. Everybody searches for Chelsea, and her sisters find her in the barn. Chelsea claims she played with some reindeer and then fell asleep with Rudy. She says she ran away because she felt like a burden to Skipper and Stacie, but they say they love having Chelsea around. The sisters all hug and Stacie says she'd like to perform with Chelsea. Outside, the girls see that there are sleigh tracks bigger than Rudy's sleigh. The tracks stop as if the sleigh started flying. Sleigh bells can be heard in the distance.

The presents in the barn are gone, the barn is prepared for the concert, and the sisters' stockings are full of presents. Chelsea thinks Santa did it for them. Christie arrives and says her family owns the barn. She insists that the barn be used for the concert and she called people to attract an audience. Christie says her uncle took the hundreds of presents and he does his best work on Christmas Eve, implying he is Santa Claus. Chelsea feels vindicated.

At the concert, Chelsea and Stacie perform with the dogs for their opening act. It goes well and some people give them a standing ovation. When Skipper performs with Brian's band, she invites her sisters on stage. Chelsea sings with her sisters and find out Millicent was watching them. They are all excited to see their aunt, who praises their performance. Everybody goes outside and sings a Christmas carol while holding hands around a Christmas tree.

Physical Appearance[]

Chelsea is a young girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and light skin. She has sideswept bangs and for most of the movie, she has her hair in two high buns. Her first outfit is a stripy jacket, a graphic t-shirt, pink pants, and orange and pink shoes. The jacket is orange and pink with pink hearts on it and a white collar.

For pajamas, Chelsea wears a matching long-sleeved top and pants that are blue with white snowflakes on them. She also has big pink slippers boots. When Chelsea goes out in the snow, she wears white gloves, a green top, sparkly dark pink and white coat and light pink leggings. She also wears white and blue boots with pink baubles on them. For the concert, Chelsea has her hair in two low pigtails with a bright pink Alice band that has a star on it and blue hair ties. She wears a sleeveless dress that is plaid blue at the top. it has a bright pink bow around the chest, and the skirt of the dress is white with a colorful pattern on it. She wears this with blue shoes.

Personality[]

Chelsea is excitable and loves the color pink, sparkles, and animals, particularly sea lions and dogs. She believes that going to the Central Park Zoo in New York will make Christmas perfect, but learns that the perfect Christmas comes from being with her sisters. She loves her sisters and has a habit of copying Stacie.

This is Chelsea's first appearance in a movie after her name was changed from Kelly, but Chelsea previously appeared in the short Barbie: A Camping We Will Go. Chelsea's last appearance as Kelly was in another Barbie Christmas movie, Barbie in A Christmas Carol.

Chelsea Roberts is a main character in Barbie & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale. She is voiced by Ashlyn Drummond.

Story[]

Chelsea, Barbie, Skipper and Stacie go to the Swiss Alps to visit their aunt Marlene's Alpine Riding Academy for the summer. They arrive in their camper and are greeted by Marlene, as well as their twin cousins Marie and Max. Chelsea has never ridden a horse, so a horse has to pick her to be their rider. A small pony named Dash picks Chelsea. Chelsea feels disappointed and wishes she could have a big horse like Stacie.

Barbie tells Chelsea to give Dash a chance. Barbie puts a bow on Dash, but Chelsea still wants a bigger horse. Dash keeps following Chelsea around, as well as sniffing and nibbling on Chelsea's hair, so Chelsea finds Dash irritating. One day, Marlene finds Chelsea hiding from Dash. Marlene notices Chelsea's shampoo, which smells like marshmallows. Marlene says that Dash loves marshmallows, glitter, ribbons and anything pink, just like Chelsea. Chelsea goes to find Dash to give her a makeover.

Chelsea and Dash compete in the Pretty Pony Parade on the first day of the tournament. Chelsea covered Dash in glitter and bows, so they win 1st place. Chelsea supports Skipper and Stacie from the crowd while they compete. Skipper and Stacie also enter the tournament. Skipper wins an event and Stacie comes 2nd place, so Alpine and rival school Ecole Montagne are tied for 1st place. That evening, the Inter-Academy Formal Dance takes place. Chelsea dances with Barbie and Marie and then gets left alone. She sees big horses in an unlocked corral outside. Chelsea tries to ride one of the horses unsupervised and it panics. The horse begins kicking and kicks open the horse corral door. The horses escape and Chelsea falls off the horse. The horse she was riding runs away.

Chelsea lays still and unresponsive on the ground until Dash sniffs her hair. Chelsea giggles and says she is okay. Her family are very relieved. Barbie, Skipper and Jonas, a boy from Ecole Montagne, track down the horses. They take a while to return, but Chelsea is certain they will be back in time for the final race. Barbie, Skipper and Jonas bring back the horses and Barbie arrives just in time to compete. Barbie wins the race and Alpine Academy wins the overall Tournament Cup. Chelsea poses for a photo with her family. Before Chelsea and her sisters leave to go home, Marlene gives Barbie a framed version of the family photo. Chelsea tells Dash that she will send some shampoo. Chelsea apologizes for the things she said about Dash, and now thinks Dash is the perfect size.

Chelsea is a young girl with light blonde hair, blue eyes and light skin. She has sideswept bangs and her hair is in two low curly pigtails with glittery blue hair ties. She usually wears a white top, yellow cardigan, light pink 3/4 length pants and pink shoes. Her top has pink, purple and red flowers and blue butterflies on it. Chelsea's cardigan is short-sleeved and waist-length with pink lining around the collar and pink buttons. Her shoes are dark pink Mary Janes with light pink flowers on the front. She wears this outfit with a pink bracelet.

Chelsea's pajamas are a top and shorts. The top is light pink with yellow frilly shoulders and a yellow band around the waist. The shorts have frills at the bottom. She wears her pajamas with pink bunny slippers.

Chelsea's riding outfit is a shirt, light pink jacket, white pants and dark pink boots. The top is pale blue with polka dots on it. There is a light pink jewel on the front with light pink material attached. Her jacket is plaid, short-sleeved and has dark pink lapels and sleeve cuffs. Her helmet is dark pink with a light pink stripe and light yellow bow.

Chelsea's formal dance outfit is a shiny light purple dress with a dark pink band around the waist. The sleeves are translucent and the bottom of the dress is yellow. She wears a silver necklace with a dark pink horseshoe on it. She has a shimmery pink flower accessory on each pigtail. Her shoes are dark pink with straps around the ankle that have bows on them.

Personality[]

Chelsea is excitable and enjoys drawing. She loves horses, ribbons and glitter. Her favorite color is pink. Chelsea feels disappointed when she isn't picked by big horses. She dislikes not getting to do the same things as her sisters, like riding big horses and wearing lipstick. She also dislikes bugs, being pestered by Dash, and not getting the top bunk.
