Barbie: It Takes Two is an CGI-animated series that began in 2022. The series takes place after Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams. Season 1 was released on Netflix US on April 8, 2022.[1] Season 2 was released on Netflix US on October 1, 2022.[2]

"Join Barbie "Malibu" Roberts and Barbie "Brooklyn" Roberts for fun, laughter, and exciting new adventures in the brand-new 26-episode series Barbie It Takes Two. The series follows Barbie and Barbie as they attend a year of performing arts high school in NYC, set out to record a music demo, and take odd jobs to fund their dreams, all while exploring the Big Apple and traveling back to Malibu often to visit family and friends. Filled with stories of friendship, family, passion, and perseverance, the series follows this iconic duo as they work hard and have fun chasing their dreams. Regarding season 2 of Barbie: It Takes Two, Barbie: Mermaid Power and Barbie: Life in the City, Fred Soulie (senior vice president and general manager, Mattel Television) said in a statement:

Barbie: Life in the City[]

Barbie: Life in the City is a series of YouTube videos that began on September 15, 2022. Brooklyn makes the videos as a digital diary for her media arts class at Handler Arts Academy. An article on The Wrap wrote that the series would be "expanding [Brooklyn's] character and giving fans the chance to understand her role and prominence within the brand." Mattel described the series as giving Brooklyn "a place to showcase every facet of her smart, fearless and loyal personality on a platform entirely her own."[17]

The description for the series on YouTube reads: "Turn up the music, put on your dance shoes, and set off on a New York City adventure with Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts in Barbie: Life In The City!
