Character

Aramina is a character in Barbie and The Three Musketeers. She is voiced by Willow Johnson and played by Summer. Aramina is a former maid and musketeer-in-training, and a talented dancer.

Story[]

Aramina is one of the maids working at the castle in Paris. She secretly dreams of being a musketeer. While out dancing among a garden of roses and dreaming of romance, Aramina stumbles upon Brutus chasing Miette and the latter’s owner, Corinne, who accidentally bumps into her while chasing the animals. Aramina falls into the rosebushes, completely offended. She eventually returns to the castle with the other maids. When her boss Madame de Bossé calls them in to meet their new co-worker, Aramina enters with Viveca and Renée, covered in roses and dirt. The girls are angry upon seeing Corinne as their new co-worker and recognize her as the one who offended them. Corinne offers to make it up to them, and Aramina suggests allowing the former to dust every book in the library before the girls settle on making Corinne clean the ballroom floor with a little brush. That night, as the girls leave the castle, they learn that Corinne has no place to stay so Aramina invites her to stay with them at their sleeping quarters since they have forgiven her and also have an extra bed now that their former co-worker, Constance, has been fired.

The next day, while Aramina and her friends were cleaning the castle hallways, a chandelier suddenly drops from the ceiling and nearly kills Prince Louis. Aramina manages to defend herself by shattering all the chandelier pieces that were flying at her, demonstrating her quick reflexes. She notices the other girls also have good reflexes and they all reveal their shared dream to become musketeers. Hélène, another maid, overhears them and brings the girls to the old Musketeers training room. She tells them that she’ll train them, but they will have to work together. The girls spend the entire day training until they are exhausted.

The next morning, Aramina heads to the training room with Viveca and Renée to practice sparring. Corinne joins later and informs them of recent incidents that have been putting Louis in danger. Hélène suspects a secret plot against the prince and warns the girls to remain silent and vigilant until they can find proof. The girls spend the next couple days training with Hélène, even practicing during their work shifts until Corinne successfully defeats their mentor in a duel. That night, the girls leave the palace to celebrate. They suddenly spot the Regent and his men transporting weapons in a dark alley, and learn that they are planning to use the transported weapons to kill Louis during the upcoming masquerade ball and allow his evil cousin Philippe to take the throne. The girls quickly return to the castle to warn Treville, but he doesn’t believe them and they are kicked out.

The girls return to their quarters, dejected. But Corinne encourages Aramina and the others to take action since they are the only ones who know of the plot against the prince and can save him. They come up with the idea to infiltrate the palace during the masquerade ball, when no one will be able to recognize them with masks on. While Viveca and Renée are working on making costumes and weapons, Aramina teaches Corinne how to dance.

The day of the masquerade ball arrives and the girls are fully prepared to save the prince. When night finally falls, the girls infiltrate the castle through its secret passageways, unaware that Philippe and his men are also sneaking in with real weapons in hand. Aramina and her friends successfully enter the castle without being recognized by Treville. When they arrive at the ballroom, Aramina calls herself “Countess Hedda Lettuce” (a pun on “Head of Lettuce”) to avoid further recognition. She and the girls begin scouting the area quietly, remaining vigilant for any signs of danger. The announcer suddenly declares the commencement of Prince Louis’s sword dance. Louis chooses Corinne as his dance partner as Aramina romantically watches them dance together. She soon joins the dance with another guest. While dancing, Aramina spots a masked man who is supposedly carrying a real sword. She cuts in to dance with him until intentionally stepping on his foot to keep him away. The fireworks soon go off as the dance ends. While everyone is distracted, the masked man attempts to kill an unguarded Louis but Corinne stops his attack in time and alerts the guards. The Regent and his men surround the girls while Louis and the masked man escape.

They quickly take action, shifting into their musketeer gear and prepare to fight their opponents. Aramina, armed with a pair of fans, fights off many men while enjoying the thrill of fighting more than dancing. After some time, the girls realize they have lost sight of the prince while fighting. They spot Louis’s mask by the passageway entrance and head there. While they are searching the dark corridors, the girls accidentally stumble upon Treville and the musketeers, who have all been tied up by the Regent and his men. Aramina stays with Viveca and Renée to help them while Corinne goes after the prince herself. They successfully free the musketeers, who then proceeded to apprehend the Regent. By the time Aramina and the others have reached the castle rooftop, Corinne has successfully defeated Philippe and saved Louis. The girls then share a group hug together.

After Philippe and his accomplices have been arrested, Louis thanks the girls and asks them to reveal their identities. Soon after, Louis ascends the throne and makes Aramina and her friends official musketeers. After the coronation, Treville informs the girls of an another mission. They declare, “All for one, and One for all!” as they ride off into the sunset.
