Apollonia from afar
Apollonia is the kingdom that is ruled by King Peter and Queen Danielle in Barbie as the Island Princess . Ro is brought to Apollonia by Antonio, when she decides to leave her island on the South Seas to see civilization. She is given a room in the castle but doesn't feel she fits in. She and Antonio quickly realize they're in love with each other (well Antonio does anyway) but can't tell each other how they feel because Antonio is betrothed to Princess Luciana. When Luciana tells Antonio she doesn't feel that they should be married, Antonio marries Rosella. The two then sail happily away back to Rosella's island.
Trivia
- The word Apollo is in the kingdom's name, in mythology Apollo was one of the greek gods, and if you look closely the statues are a bit greek like. This might mean the kingdom was originally greek.(Note: In mythology Apollo replaced the titan greek god, Helios, as the greek god of the sun.)
