Also, although I’ve recently been watching some of the “newer” Barbie films, I stopped watching the Barbie movies at Barbie Fashion Fairytale (which I loved when I was 12 btw). The only ones I watched after the Island Princess (when I was a child) was the Three Musketeers and Fashion Fairytale.
Why are the Barbie films so full of bright and neon colours? What happened to the pastel, dreamy, pretty Barbie movie formula, it was so much more aesthetic and nostalgic!

It’s such a shame that Mattel doesn’t market the 2000s Barbie movies, like the way Disney do to their princesses. Especially since the classic Barbie films have made such a huge comeback online! I want to see collector edition Princess and the Pauper dolls (and other films), and merch based on the classic Barbie princesses (Clara, Rapunzel, Odette, Annaliese & Erika, Annika, Genevieve, Ro, and Liana & Alexa!)
