Plot: The Roberts girls are whisked away in an alternate universe due to an experiment that has gone awry and in this alternate universe the girls encounter their doppelgangers based on their toyline from the 80s-90s meanwhile Brooklyn (who is still in the main universe) is working on bringing Malibu and her sister's back to their home universe.

Know what would be really cool if they had a follow up to mermaid power and the Roberts girls teamed up to stop a crisis of colossal proportions that threatens Isla's wedding, then Brooklyn and Malibu are chosen to be the bridesmaids
I was thinking the next movie could take place five years after the events of mermaid power, where Marlo would be revealed to still be a mermaid, Skipper would be engaged to Finn, and marry him at the end making her a mermaid permanently. Stacie and Chelsea would be junior counselors for a mermaid troop group, and Malibu and Brooklyn, would be ambassadors of Pacifica. all these events would be non-canon
