All of the barbie movie is the best movies of all time
So, I watched Stacie to the Rescue yesterday and it was... Fine. Not great, but fine. But the title is kinda misleading. But before I dwell on the negatives, but I want to talk about the positives.
First all as always, the songs and writing were great. The song "You're Amazing" is really catchy and demonstrates the relationship between Barbie and Stacie very well.
Rookie was also a very much good addition to bring into the story. After all this isn't the first time one of the Roberts' pets stowed away on a trip.
And Ligaya? A queen. She has to be my favorite out of the entire movie. I like the relationship she and Stacie develop throughout the film and I'm not gonna lie when I say, I kinda ship it. I don't know. Just something about Stacie just screams bi or lesbian energy.
And there are some funny moments too. Skipper getting carsick on the ride to Wisconsin? Girl, same. And her fear of heights? Understandable. I don't have a fear of heights, but I have a fear of driving. It's called Amaxophobia, actually. And if you don't believe me, just look it up.
But now, I just have two negatives on the movie, and their minor. First of all, the title. The movie is called "Stacie to the Rescue", but the rescue part doesn't come in until the LAST ten minutes of the film. It would have been better if there was a part where Skipper and Barbie took the balloon out for a test run in the second half and that's when the rescue part could have came in.
And second is the pacing. It was really slow and kinda boring. The whole movie didn't feel like a movie, it felt more like a one hour special.
Still I enjoyed the movie (or special in my case) and had a pretty good storyline for Stacie, which I think is character development? I don't know. I'm usually not one to critique movies. But what are your thoughts on the movie?
Last year I was out shopping and I saw some Stacie to the Rescue dolls. I looked at the boxes and took photos of the artwork on the side. Idk if they have been posted online already. This won't be new to you if you've also seen the dolls in person.
Notice that other Stacie to the Rescue doll in the background? The product code is HRM05. Idk if anyone else noticed but Stacie was wearing that outfit in a Barbie and Barbie On Set episode, so that was our first glimpse at Stacie's new outfit in an animation.

Since Australia seems to get premieres way earlier than America, has anyone heard about an earlier-than-Spring release down in Australia? Season 1 debuted at the end of July before it came to America/Netflix mid-September... So, if the pattern stays, do you all think maybe end of January/early February release in Australia for season 2? Maybe same with Stacie to the Rescue?
