@Sirenas921 Most people, including me, don't like how childish it seems. Dream House adventures and Dreamhouse Adventures movies like Dolphin Magic and Princess Adventure are made for slightly older Barbie fans, not pre-schoolers. Which is what Chelsea and the Lost Birthday seemed like. It didn't fit in with the rest of the Barbie Movies because it was so childish. It also had no villian, and no real adventure since everything was just a dream. It was like watching Dreamtopia, not a Barbie Movie.
@Vernorexia I can respectfully disagree with the other points you mentioned, but the whole "it was just a dream" point is one I can't really excuse. Everything that Chelsea went through did actually happen. When she wakes up on the boat, she says "It worked" and "I had a wonderful day." She didn't say anything about this being a dream. She knew she went on the adventure and made the wish to return to her family, evidenced by how we zoom in on her stuffed animals, which look like the ones she met. She just never mentioned that she went on a big jungle adventure. They just thought she stayed on the boat. The comparison to Barbie: Dreamtopia is interesting given how Barbie And Chelsea: The Lost Birthday was co-written and co-executive produced by Ann Austen. She was a creative producer for Barbie: Dreamtopia and the showrunner for Barbie: Dreamhouse Adventures (for the latter, she started as a creative producer before later becoming co-executive producer and head writer).
@Sirenas921 I don't believe that, sorry. I know there is some bits of magic in the Dreamhouse Adventures Universe, but not much. There is no way Chelsea could have gone on a fantastical adventure like that, abnormally sized talking animals don't exist. This isn't Island Princess. Plus, Barbie Skipper and Stacie went to the island and they didn't see Chelsea or giant animals or the colorful vibrant cartoonish surroundings that were in Chelsea's imagination. Chelsea wasn't ever there, or Barbie would have seen her on the island. I think Chelsea believes it was real. She is young and possibly confused reality for her dreams and imagination and she thought all that happened. And perhaps she still thinks it happened if none of her family told her other wise.
Why do I think this conversation is getting heated up...?
You know what. Simple way. We'll ask @XTinkerBellx . It'll make things less foggy for us.
It's okay for people to have conversations where they respectfully disagree with each other ❤️
I think it's better to do that and explain your point of view, than to state "I don't like this movie! It's bad!" without elaborating.

The Lost Birthday was just boring :/
And Secret Door is a nice movie, the MUSIC-
I like Secret Door a lot, the story was really imaginative and girl power-promoting. Lost Birthday was sort of a drag. But I still want to watch it again...you know, to give it another chance? I only watched it once.
Secret Door is a good movie. The colours are bright, yeah, the magic world is also not my cup of tea but Alexa is a nice protagonist. We can see her character development and it's beautiful.
Someone is hating on Thumbelina? The movie conveys the theme of friendship so well. I loved how Makena changed because of Thumbelina, slowly, step by step. There was a conflict and there was a resolution. Not to mention that the movie teaches kids to respect and protect the environment. I think this movie is underrated.
Princess Power could be better. The superhero theme is interesting, all the references to the different comics is a great detail too. I get that they wanted it to look like comics so that's why it's so cartoonish but the characters' design is still horrible. The plot is not really interesting too. Kara's friends have no personality.
Yeah some characters have little to no personality/importance to the plot but they'll be in the film, presumably, to tie-in to the doll line for the movie.
I think the other for Thumbelina aged well but I don't really like the character designs in that movie. Three Musketeers came out the same year but I think it looks a lot better.
What do you think?
