I picked Big City Big Dreams cause I prefer Brooklyn over Amelia, and I was more invested in Brooklyn and Malibu's friendship than Amelia and Barbie's. Also I think the BCBD soundtrack is better than PA.
Ok! I chose Princess Adventure one for the thrill and suspense it gave. The start was quite energetic, till "Somewhere New", and then suddenly it turned a bit fishy because nobody knew why only Barbie's friend group was invited. Then as the plan by Amelia was revealed, things got more excitement-filled because we didn't know what was going to happen next. The shady guard under Johan added good suspense to it, because of his funny looks.
Then, till Life in Colour, everything felt as if, we should be ourselves, and King of the Kingdom was really a good song for dancing.
Then. The princess was captured, and it felt that Barbie was a, well, a goner. The Ken moment after that was good. It was almost as if Barbie was expecting him to say (you know what).
Then after the plan for retrieving Amelia from captivity was made, feelings went topsy-turvy, 'cause somewhere Barbie's being chased, guards are falling into waterfalls, Alfonso is being caught and it almost felt as if an action scene is going to happen.
The best part was that Amelia and Barbie got out of captivity on their own. It's not like some kind of a fairy-tale (like the Disney ones,) where a prince will come to help you. No. That part was good because it showed you that you should be independent. Princes' will never turn up. I guess that scene actually depicted a part of real life, and it was inspiring (I guess.)
And after that was the BEST part. Barbie and Ken, of course!!! What a dance they had. It almost felt as though they were going to confess. (Sadly it didn't happen.)
I feel that the content of this movie was better, but BCBD's soundtrack was too good.
What do you think about Princess Adventure?
Looking forward to your views!
I like Princess Adventure too. I like all the songs, I like the characters and I like the cute costumes. But I prefer Big City Big Dreams because I like seeing Barbie going out of her comfort zone and chasing her dreams, and even though she struggled, it was worth it because she made a new best friend and they got to do the showcase together.
Great point of view! I think you changed my opinion😋
Princess Adventure has a similar theme though, but the difference is, Barbie goes out of her comfort zone because she feels pressured to by Ruby Ross. Barbie realised she had to be true to herself and that was more important than fame. I think the movies go together well as musicals about making new friends, finding yourself and pursuing your dreams.
I haven't watched either of them yet the last one I watched was dolphin magic
