vlogs/dreamhouse adventures canon age

Hey guys i'm new to this wiki so idk how this works but I had a question. What is barbie's age in dreamhouse adventures and the vlogs? I see that some sites have her as 17 but how do we know this? I'm just a bit confused because there was a vlog posted back in 2017 where she went to prom, which I guess means she was in her junior/senior year of high school. Then she posted a vlog in 2020 where she was also talking about how she went to another prom in the previous year. So in the 2020 vlog I guess she was either in her senior year or in college? but they haven't shown her in college yet so idk.

So she could've been in her junior/senior year in the 2017 vlog and she could've also been in her senior/college year in the 2020 vlog?

So do the years from 2017-2020 just not matter? is she repeating the same high school year over and over? lol does anyone have an answer? Thank you

Barbie has always been 16/17 in the movies. In Dreamhouse Adventures, she is in high school. Her younger sister Skipper is a high school freshman, so Barbie is either in her sophomore or senior year.

Thanks for your response! So she's 16/17 in every movie? Is this for Barbie the actress or the characters that she played in the movies? Also, so does this mean that the prom vlog released in 2020 is at least a year after dreamhouse adventures and she's in college? or would that be a mistake that they made?

With both Barbie herself and the characters she's played, the character has been 16/17 if the age has been officially stated. I think it's just a mistake if Barbie seems older. It probably comes down to the writers wanting Barbie to go on loads of adventures, but without making her age, so she ends up going to multiple proms even if the continuity ends up not making sense.

Barbie herself mention in an episode of Dreamhouse Adventures that her age is 17. In Life Can Be A Dream, she mentioned that next year they will be in college, so she is in twelfth grade.

Oh hey thanks for your response! I thought in "Life Can Be A Dream" she said that they'd be going to college soon but I don't remember her saying the next year? Maybe I'd have to watch it again lol. Also do you happen to remember the exact episode where she said her age or no? :)

Barbie is 17/18, Skipper is a freshman at high school and their age gap would place Barbie as a senior. She technically would have graduated before she goes to the summer program in Big City Big Dreams but for the sake of Dreamhouse Adventures I think they'll just magically keep her a senior.

What is Skipper's age and how do we know her age? Why would their age gap place Barbie as a senior? I recall in an episode, I think it was "the in crowd", Skipper said something about "a bunch of juniors" and I think she was referring to Barbie's friends so idk I assumed Barbie was a junior. Why would she have graduated before big city big dreams? lol i'm very confused
