<p>I stopped buying them after Princess and the Popstar (2012).. I've watched all the movies after aswell, but they just got worse and worse. A few of them are a little entertaining, but none are magical like the originals.</p>

<p>I first "stopped" watching the new movies back in 2009 actually. LOVED Diamond Castle but it was my last Barbie movie as a kid. Still haven't gotten around to watching Thumbelina. However, I'm working on catching up now and while some from 2010-present aren't as good as others, I'm often pleasantly surprised! I really liked Princess Charm School and Starlight Adventure honestly. </p>

<p>Honestly....I stopped watching the movies after Pink Shoes. the only modern one I like is Princess Charm School</p>

<p>I think as time has gone by, Barbie has grown as a person and the movies have followed more closely along the lines of Barbie finding who she is, navigating her life and making the most of it with her friends and family. </p><p>
</p><p>I have the first 29 movies in a dvd collection, and the rest, I have seen in digital form. They aren't boring to me at all and i really like Rock n Royals, Princess and the Popstar, A starlight adventure, Barbie and her sisters in a puppy adventure and chase as well as dolphin magic. </p><p>
</p><p>She doesn't need romance anymore. It's fine if it happens, but she isn't looking for it. She seems more orientated with her family, friends, finding who she is and having fun which i think is great. </p><p>

<p>I definitely think the Barbie movies have deteriorated since 2013. The original classical ones like Swan Lake, Rapunzel, Princess and the Pauper, and 12 Dancing Princesses, are so so good! The next generation of movies including Island Princess, Mariposa, Diamond Castle, Three Musketeers, Fashion Fairytale, and Princess Charm School was Mattel's peak in my opinion. Then the last good year was 2013 with Mariposa and the Fairy Princess. The all-time best Barbie movies are: Princess and the Pauper, Three Musketeers, and Princess Charm School. Hands down. I will never get tired of watching these. I don't think they ever got boring, but I do think the overall quality deteriorated after 2013. </p>

<p>Princess Charm School makes me so happy, and i can definitely somewhat agree. I don't feel quality has declined, but I do feel like the earlier films were more creative and magical. I think i enjoy all the movies, no matter what, because they just feel special to me. </p>

<p>Yeah! I remember going to walmart, seeing dolls of modern ones like Secret Door, and being all " I didn't even know they released this!" I haven't seen any trailers or commercials for the new ones. on an off-topic note, I think of Princess Charm School as the film version of Royale High on Roblox. Both have princesses,spas, coronation ceremonies, mean girls, Etc, which makes me happy.</p>

<p>I tried playing Royale High on Roblox some weeks ago but it was incredibly laggy and difficult to get on in the game. Nobody was willing to be friends or to at least be regular, it was hard to find my way around and i just gave up in the end lol</p>
